WKU Soccer powers past Union 2-0, securing back-toback wins

WKU Soccer earned its third win of the young season against Union on Thursday night, in large part thanks to a stifling defensive performance that limited Union to just three shots and one shot on goal in the match. The Hilltoppers rode the defensive wave from start to finish, largely thanks to junior defender Abby Wiedermann, whose performance in the back line has been top notch, and has led to her emergence as a leader amongst a younger Hilltopper squad. WKU Volleyball begins regular season at SEMO Tournament

WKU Volleyball enters the Southeast Missouri tournament this weekend to begin its regular season against Southeast Missouri State University
and University of Oregon in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The Hilltoppers were 27-6 overall last season, with their first loss of the regular season after 100 games undefeated. There is no such thing as a “home” advantage for the Hilltoppers when the team dominates off its own court. The away game record was 13-2 last season and the home record was 12-3. Faculty Senate announces faculty regent election
Faculty senate members vote to continue an open-ended discussion about a proposal to change the Faculty Senate Charter and remove the Colonnade General Education Committee from the faculty senate’s list of standing committees during the faculty senate meeting in the Downing Student Union Student Government Association Chambers on Thursday, April 16, 2026.. The majority voted to end the discussion and wait until the next meeting and second reading of the proposal. (Libby Simpson)

WKU Men’s Basketball adds more depth to frontcourt
WKU Men’s Basketball picks up a late recruit for the 2026-27 season with 6 ’10 forward Joseph Adebayo. Adebayo will fill a much-needed spot for the Hilltoppers in the frontcourt, after WKU graduated much of its post presence from last season. Read more by Peyton Reid
