SGA Announces 'Sippin’ in September' Fundraiser to Support Sexual Assault Victims

The WKU Student Government Association passed a bill Tuesday to greenlight a fundraiser event to raise money for an organization that supports victims of sexual harm. The event will be called “Sippin’ in September,” and will utilize community partners Pelican’s Snowcones and Tay Tay’s Lemonade. Read more by Josh Baumgardner

World-renowned photojournalist Stephanie Sinclair presented a career’s worth of work Tuesday at Jody Richards Hall. Sinclair is most widely known for her documentary project “Too Young to Wed,” which showcases the issues of forced marriages and child marriages across the globe. Read more by Jonah Savage
Market on the Avenue: WKU’s campus-based farmers’ market to begin

The WKU Restaurant Group and Office of Sustainability will sponsor the first Market on the Avenue of the year from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday in Centennial Plaza. Market on the Avenue is a monthly, campus-based community farmers’ market held along Avenue of Champions, according to WKU’s Office of Sustainability. Read more by Abigail Vickers

The WKU Volleyball regular season begins Friday against Wright State in the WKU Invitational. The Lady Toppers are coming off another successful season, finishing 28-7, 18-0 in conference play and advancing to their sixth straight NCAA tournament appearance.
