Journalist Josie Duffy Rice gave a moderated talk on her experience reporting on the prosecution and prison systems

The talk, titled “Telling the Untold Story: Investigating the U S Criminal Justice System,” was held in the Jody Richards Hall auditorium Thursday as part of the John B. Gaines Family Lecture Series.

Duffy is a freelance journalist whose stories have been published in The New York Times, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, The Atlantic and Slate, among others, according to her website. She founded and previously served as president of The Appeal, a nonprofit publication focused on holding criminal justice systems

WKU Baseball will host Evansville for a midweek non-conference matchup Tuesday at Nick Denes Field

The Hilltoppers are coming off their fourth Conference USA series win of the season, taking two of three games against Middle Tennessee State. The series improved WKU’s conference record to 11-4, which ties Dallas Baptist for first place in CUSA, and its overall record to 33-7 The Hilltoppers enter Tuesday’s game with a 24-1 mark at home.
