Caden Lucas and his ticket of Vice-President-Elect Jakob Barker and Chief Financial Officer-Elect Will Derryberry won the Student GovernmentAssociation spring election Wednesday and will serve during the 2026-27 academic year
Lucas is a WKU Spiritmaster, the chairman of the Hilltoppers Vote Coalition and he works for the City of Bowling Green’s Downtown Development Division. “Lead, build, deliver,” is Lucas’s ticket motto.

The Olympic trials are coming to Kentucky.
Gov Andy Beshear, Olympic Gold Medalist Stephen Nedorosick and many other speakers celebrated at Churchill Downs in Louisville Wednesday as it was announced that the USAGymnastics Olympic Trials are coming to The KFCYum! Center in Louisville June 16-19, 2028. The trials will set the women’s and men’s teams competing in the 2028 Olympics in LosAngeles.
WKU Softball bests Evansville, breaks program record in midweek thriller

WKU Softball snapped its single-season home run record in its 7-5 win at Evansville Wednesday evening, but not without some bumps in the road.
First basemanAnnie White wasted no time snapping the record, as the junior sent one over the left field wall in the top of the first. WKU’s singleseason home run record is now at 51 and counting.

History Department rocks out to Singo Night

Music spanning decades streamed through the speakers of the Honors College and International Center multipurpose room Tuesday as history department students and staff jammed out at Singo.
The songs, spanning from 2000s hits from Brittany Spears and Katy Perry to classics from Guns n’Roses and the Eagles, were all played as students scrambled to mark their boards.
History Department Head and ProfessorAudra Jennings organized the event, while Fun Forge business owner Shawn Quinn hosted. The decision to hold the event was inspired by fellow history Professor Jen Hanley’s own Singo Night experience.
