WKU turned out in force Friday as students, families and volunteers came together to celebrate and raise funds for Norton Children’s Hospital.
More than 750 dancers filled Preston Center for Dance Big Red 2026, an annual student-run fundraiser that supports pediatric cardiology and oncology at Norton Children’s Hospital. The night featured testimonials, a red-carpet entrance for superhero kids, giveaways and raffles, and raising a total of $141,555.32. For many participants, the evening’s impact was personal.

Greg Collins will return as Head Coach forWKU Women’s Basketball next season, Director ofAthletics Todd Stewart said in a public statement.
“Coach Collins has been a part of 286 wins with our program, including 132 as head coach, and he has helped 10 players earnAll-Conference honors,” Stewart said. “The team won 23 games a year ago, and I am confident our new resources will result in significant and notable improvement immediately.”

WKU Men’s Basketball fell in its regular season finale 92-67 to the FIU Panthers Saturday afternoon.
The Hilltoppers were outperformed by FIU in every major category. WKU could not stop FIU, as the Hilltoppers were outrebounded 48-28, and had no answer to the Panthers’offense.

The seats of Van Meter Hall were filled on Sunday with WKU students, faculty and Bowling Green community members to celebrate the music department’s choir concert, “Grow in Peace.”
Audience members enjoyed an afternoon of performances by the WKU Treble Chorus, University Singers and Chorale. They were joined by the Southern Kentucky Choral Society and student acapella ensembles The TrebleMakers and Redshirts.

WKU Jazz Band performed at Van Meter Hall Saturday, selecting pieces that reflected their passions and brought an eclectic concert to life.
WKU Jazz ensemble filled Van Meter with music chosen by the students, ranging from the classics to video game themes, which earned warm applause from the crowd.
“This was really meaningful to them,” said Sarah Herbert, assistant professor of trumpet and jazz. “You could tell when we were rehearsing that it really meant something to them.”

WKU Softball cements best start in school history with sweep

WKU Softball swept the weekend in its Conference USAopener against Missouri State in three games at the WKU Softball Complex, setting the record for best start in school history at 18-3.
“Obviously we are going to enjoy today, because today is today,” Head Coach Amy Tudor said. ” We will practice and get back to work, you never want to get complacent; we challenge them all year long.”
