Avoid these locations or pay the price of the parking meter

Thinking about parking and not paying at a meter spot?
Last week, WKU Parking and Transportation Services issued 89 citations for time limit violations at pay spots across campus, according to records obtained by the Herald – these locations have been hit the hardest this semester.
Hilltoppers roll to fifth straight win versus New Mexico State
Parking and Transportation will operate from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with minimal staffing. Students who have a parking tag will receive a partial refund for their parking fee.

That’s five in a row. WKU Men’s Basketball dominated the New Mexico StateAggies 93-70 at DiddleArena Thursday night.
Hot off dethroning Liberty last week, which snapped their 17-game win streak, the Hilltoppers carried the momentum back to Diddle. WKU shot
lights out from the floor at 50%, and continued to find their 3-point shooting, finishing the night shooting 44%.
Lady Toppers keep tournament hopes alive with win over Delaware
WKU Women’s Basketball refused to go down without a fight, defeating Delaware on the road in a 73-71 thrillerThursday night.
The Lady Toppers marginally led for the majority of the game. WKU led by a game-high nine points with just over five minutes left in the fourth quarter Delaware responded with two scoring runs, retaking the lead with under a minute and a half to play.
Students and professors alike gathered in College High Hall on Wednesday, as WKU graduate student and Data Engineer Goran Omerdic explained distributive lattice models for the weekly WKU American Mathematical Society chapter talk.

Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band to perform first concert of semester

The WKU Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band will perform their first concert of the semester on Friday, Feb. 27, at 7:30 p.m. in Van Meter Hall.
Gary Schallert, Director of Bands and WKU professor of music, said the performance will last roughly an hour. He said the concert costs $5 for general admission.
WKU Baseball returns home for weekend series against Indiana
WKU Baseball will host Indiana for a four-game series at Nick Denes Field Feb. 27-Mar. 1.
The Hilltoppers are 5-4 after a 13-9 loss to the University of Kentucky on Wednesday WKU was outhit 20-10 and couldn’t climb out of an early 4-0 lead by the Wildcats.

WKU Softball looks to continue its hot start to the season in the Hilltopper Spring Fling Feb. 27-Mar. 1.
The Hilltoppers will face Illinois and IU Indy on Friday, Illinois and Ball State on Saturday, with one final game against IU Indy on Sunday
