Flames’3-point shooting extinguishes WKU Men’s Basketball

Ascorching 59% 3-point shooting mark from the Liberty Flames extinguished WKU Men’s Basketball, falling 76-69 at DiddleArena Wednesday night.

After a difficult night against Kennesaw State, sophomore guard Teagan Moore scored 19 points on 63% shooting to keep the Hilltoppers in the game. Freshman guardArmelo Boone added 13 points and 13 rebounds.

The Hilltoppers shot just 42% in the paint, the first time WKU shot less than 50% from inside the arc this season.

Lady Toppers look to extinguish Flames in home matchup

WKU Women’s Basketball looks to snap its two-game losing streak, hosting the Liberty Lady Flames Thursday night in DiddleArena.

The Lady Toppers’took road losses to Sam Houston (50-38) and Louisiana Tech (79-65) last week, dropping WKU to 5-12 overall (1-5 CUSA). The Lady Toppers have dropped eight of their last 10 games, falling to last-place in conference.

Senior forward Zsofia Telegdy is WKU’s consistent offensive and defensive output. She leads the Lady Toppers in rebounds per game (4.5) and is tied with sophomore guard Salma Khedr for the leading scorer, both averaging 9.4 points per game.
