Poor shooting dooms

Hilltoppers in home loss to Kennesaw State

Adreadful 29% shooting performance from WKU Men’s Basketball set the stage for an 81-65 blowout loss to Kennesaw State at DiddleArena Saturday afternoon.

The Hilltoppers struggled from the floor throughout the game, shooting just 30% from three-point territory and 65% from the free-throw line.

Senior guard Ryan Myers was the leading scorer for the Hilltoppers with 16 points. Sophomore guard Teagan Moore struggled, scoring just nine points on 4-10 shooting. The performance marked just the third time Moore scored less than 10 points in a game this season.

WKU Women’s Basketball had no answers for Louisiana Tech’s offense, falling 79-65 Saturday afternoon.

LATech outmatched WKU’s offense all of regulation, showcasing multiple scoring runs and effective shot production. LATech’s success stemmed from its pass-first approach as they concluded regulation with 26 assists.

Both squads flourished offensively, with the Lady Toppers shooting 45% from the field to LATech’s 51%, and 40% and 41% respectively from behind the arc.
