Daniel Cameron speak in support of Amendment 2 at AFP rally

Americans for Prosperity (AFP) hosted an Amendment 2 support rally with Kentucky Republican Sen Rand Paul, his wife Kelley Paul and former Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron on Monday, Oct. 28 at La Gala in Bowling Green.

Amendment 2 states, “The General Assembly may provide financial support for the education of students outside of the system of common schools.” Sen. Rand and Kelley Paul have both been strong advocates and supporters of Amendment 2 and school choice for Kentucky Cameron has also strongly advocated for the amendment to pass Cameron started off the speech by discussing why he advocates for Amendment 2.

Haunted Tour’

Members of the WKU Philosophy Club dressed as ghostly philosophers at its annual “Dead Philosophers Haunted Tour” Monday evening at Cherry Hall. Grim reapers and Greek ghouls began ushering students through the classrooms of Cherry Hall at 6 p m , leading them to meet seven famous philosophers: Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels, Ronald Dworkin, Friedrich Nietzsche, Margaret Macdonald, the Oracle of Delphi Pythia and Socrates Each philosopher presented a short speech about their life and beliefs and offered candy to attendees

Hudson, Bere to have surgery Wednesday for lower leg injuries

WKU Volleyball Head Coach Travis Hudson made quite the entrance to his Monday press conference

With a boot around his left foot, Hudson rolled into the Paul Just Media Center along with Assistant Coach Jena Otec, instructing himself to “put it in reverse Terry” once he realized a cord was in the way of his usual entrance to the table.

Once he made it to the other side of the table and completed the short hobble to his seat, Hudson told the media that volleyball-related injuries are what kept him and Assistant Head Coach Craig Bere from traveling with the team to UTEP this past weekend.
