SGA to put up new flag outside Mahurin Honors College, two appointments made at weekly meeting The WKU Student Government Association passed three new bills to increase representation, grow the Borrow-a-Calculator program and provide financial support to Registered Student Organizations at its Oct. 22 meeting. Resolution 5-24-F asked for SGA support to display the flag of Myanmar on the empty flagpole outside the Mahurin Honors College. Senator Van Zing, author of the bill, said that this bill came about when several students expressed that there wasn’t a Myanmar flag to represent Burmese and Chin students here on campus.

The Black Student Alliance partnered with the Delta Sigma Theta, Zeta Phi Beta and Sigma Gamma Rho sororities to host a Project 2025 Forum Tuesday evening in DSU Nite Class. Scott Lasley, WKU Department of Political Science Chair and professor, and Saundra Ardrey, retired WKU political science professor, spoke to students about what Project 2025 is and how it could impact the nation in the upcoming election. According to Lasley, the Heritage Foundation, an organization that dates to the twentieth century, is driving Project 2025. Read more by Abigail Vickers
