APPLIED ETHICS FOR PROFESSIONALS Master’s Degree
Interested persons should:
Experienced and well-qualified professionals, executives and leaders in all fields are invited to apply for admission to the intellectually challenging Postgraduate Programme in Applied Ethics offered by the Wits Philosophy Department.
• Have qualifications at NQF level 8 (e.g. 3-year degree plus Honours or PG-Dip)
Courses offered include: • Methods of Applied Ethics (core course), • Ethics and the Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence • Cultural Pluralism and Ethics • Ethics and the Environment • Ethics and International Affairs • Ethical Theory • Information and Privacy Issues in Biomedical Ethics • Morality and the Law • Morality and the Marketplace • Social Justice • The Value of Life
Applications: Applications are now being accepted for classes beginning in February or March of 2026.
• Have at least one year’s experience in a professional, managerial, or leadership position • Possess very strong English comprehension and writing skills • Have ready and convenient access to e-mail and the internet • Be able to attend seminars on Saturday mornings on the Wits Campus (approx. 16 in the first year, 8 in the second).
