Population served: We serve a diverse population of patients, including the Native American Population, and a growing Hispanic community. In addition, Dean Clinic-Medical Associates Baraboo and St. Clare Hospital and Health Services patient care staff are heavily relied upon to provide urgent care/emergent services to patients of the neighboring city, Wisconsin Dells, where tourism increases the population tremendously during the summer months.
Location/community: Home to 12,000 people, Baraboo is located 45 minutes from Madison, in the heart of beautiful, recreational, south central Wisconsin. Enjoy a meal at one of the quaint eateries, followed by shopping at one of the unique boutiques on the square. The simple life is abundant in Baraboo, but the amenities of city life in Milwaukee, Chicago and Minneapolis are within reasonable driving distance.

UWEC and CVTC attract thousands of students from outside the area. Just outside the city we have a significant rural agricultural population with varying cultures including Mennonite and Amish communities. Hmong, African American, Native American, and Hispanic ethnic groups are represented in the area.
Urban/rural opportunities: The small city residency experience is located in Eau Claire, and we offer a separate ranking slot every other year in Augusta, WI. Three faculty physicians have clinical practices at the Augusta Family Medicine Clinic.
