POWEREX LIVE IS COMING

Page 5 provides key details on the PowerEx Live Midlands 2025 event, scheduled for Thursday, July 3rd, 2025 and preceded by a Golf Tournament at the Belfry Hotel & Resort, Sutton Coldfield, B76 9PR. PowerEx Midlands is the highlight of the Summer for energy professionals from the UK and Europe.

A major gas field estimated to be worth £112 billion has been discovered under Lincolnshire. Geologists estimate there could be enough gas to power the UK for the next 10 years. Around 480 billion cubic metres of gas - around ten times the UK’s annual usage - is estimated to be contained underground. Once extracted this will add £112 billion to the UK’s economy. This key energy deposit is centred under Gainsborough, energy company Egdon has announced, and stretches into Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire. Egdon is owned by American oil giant HEYCO, whose CEO George Yates has formally announced the compoany’s findings at the Lincolnshire Energy Conference. There is increrased interest in gas-powered generators as an energy source to meet rising electricity demand. in the UK. It is anticipated that the market will grow as a direct result of increased investments and supportive governmental policies on emission standards and regulations. Additionally, the improved availability of generators in a range of sizes and power

£112 BILLION LINCOLNSHIRE GAS FIND COULD TRANSFORM GAS GENSET SECTOR IN UK outputs increases the market for generators. Technological advancements have certainly increased the performance and capacity of gas-powered generators, creating a lucrative opportunity for businesses in the future markets. In recent years there has been a boom in unconventional gas resources, especially in the shale revolution and

industry is likely to become more gas-centric. Currently banned onshore in the UK over concerns it could cause small earthquakes, fracking for gas and oil still has its supporters. Rising energy costs may force the current government to reverse its fracking ban and allow the exploitation of this lucrative gas field, effectively boosting projected gas market revenues for the UK.
