The Jets face their Central Division rivals 26 times this season – four games against Chicago, Colorado, Minnesota, Nashville, and St. Louis; and three games apiece against Arizona and Dallas.

+

The Winnipeg Jets begin their six-game pre-season schedule on Sunday evening in Edmonton against the Oilers.

+

+

Winnipeg’s all-Canadian pre-season schedule includes a homeand-home with Edmonton and the Calgary Flames, while the Ottawa Senators visit Canada Life Centre on Tuesday and Winnipeg travels to Montreal to take on the Canadiens on Thursday.

December is the team’s busiest month, with the Jets playing 16 games in total – nine at home and seven on the road. Winnipeg’s first 15 road games of the season are against Western Conference teams.

+

+

The Jets are playing six pre-season games for the second consecutive season after playing seven pre-season games in each of the previous eight seasons.

The Jets first visit to the Eastern Conference is not until back-toback games on Dec. 22-23 at Boston and Washington.

+

Winnipeg plays 13 back-to-backs this season: eleven are consecutive games as the visiting team and two feature a game at Canada Life Centre and a game on the road.

NEW STAFF +

+

+

The Jets announced Rick Bowness as the team’s head coach on July 3. He most recently served as head coach of the Dallas Stars from Dec. 10/19 until the end of the 2021-22 season. The Moncton, N.B. native led the Stars to an 89-62-25 record in 176 regular season games and a trip to the 2020 Stanley Cup Final. Scott Arniel is the team’s new associate coach, while Brad Lauer and Marty Johnston serve as assistant coaches. Arniel was most recently with the Washington Capitals, while Brad Lauer is coming off a WHL championship as the head coach of the Edmonton Oil Kings and Marty Johnston was promoted from the Manitoba Moose. Assistant coach Wade Flaherty returns to guide the team’s goaltenders.

ABOUT LAST SEASON +

+

The Jets won their last four home games to close out the season, outscoring their opposition 15-5 in the four games.

The Jets finished 16-17-8 on the road last season, but lost four consecutive road games to end the season.

+

Winnipeg finished the season 12-5-11 in one-goal games.
