— Welcome to the NIAA State Wrestling Championships — Format

• In Class 5A, The top six placers in each weight class from the Southern League tournament and the top six placers in each weight class from the Northern League tournament advance to the 12-wrestler state championship bracket. Each bracket is scored through four places.

• The Nos. 1 and 2 seeds from each league tournament receive a first-round bye. The first round of the championship will not be team scored. Losers in the first round move into the consolation half.

• In Classes 3A, 2A/1A and in the girls draw, the top four placers in each weight class from the Southern Region/League/Qualifier and the top four placers in each weight class in the Northern Region/ League/Qualifier advance to the eight-wrestler bracket. The championship portion of each bracket is single-elimination. The consolation part of the bracket wrestles to a third-place match.

• Brackets can be found on Track Wrestling.

Session 1 — Friday, Feb. 13

• After the first round each day, all times are approximate Session I — Friday, February 13

10 a.m. — Weigh-ins (by weight class)

10:30 a.m. — Warm-ups begin

12 p.m. — Class 5A Round of 16 matches (8 mats)

12:40 p.m. — Championship Quarterfinals in all classes (8 mats)

• Matches will continue based on available mats

Approximately 6 p.m. — Championship Semifinals

Session II — Saturday, Feb. 14

7 a.m. — Weigh-ins (by weight class)

7:30 a.m. — Warm-ups begin

9 a.m. Consolation Semifinals in all classes (8 mats)

Matches will continue based on available mats

1:30 p.m. — Championship finals begin

• Awards ceremony will commence after the final match

Admission

• All ticket sales will be online through HomeTown Ticketing, the NIAA’s official ticketing partner.

• Tickets may be purchased directly through the NIAA website or through the HomeTown Ticketing app.

Ticket prices (per day) are:

• Adults – $12

• Students (High school age and under, with valid student ID) — $5

• Children (ages 8 and younger) — Free

• Please note that NIAA Courtesy Cards and Lifetime Passes will be honored for the legitimate pass holder (identification required) and one guest.
