Each May, communities recognize National Public Works Week (NPWW) to honor the essential services that keep cities running smoothly. This year, NPWW takes place May 17-23, with the theme “Rooted in Service, Powered by Community”— highlighting the deep roots of service in public works.
This week serves as a reminder of the vital work these teams perform daily to maintain infrastructure and ensure public safety. To celebrate, the Public Services Building will host Touch-A-Truck on May 21 from 2 to 5 p.m. Touch-A-Truck is a community event where families can explore public service vehicles and enjoy a complimentary sweet treat.
