New Parade Route, Schedule Announced for 2023 Windsor Harvest Festival

Can you believe it? Labor Day weekend is almost here, which means the 101st Windsor Harvest Festival is right around the corner! This year, the Town of Windsor and the Windsor Harvest Festival are announcing major changes to the parade route through downtown. The new route begins at its usual starting point at the intersection of 1st St. and Walnut St. and travels west on Walnut St. to 3rd St., where it will turn to the north one block to Main St./CO 392. It will again turn west and travel along Main St. to the Windsor High School administrative parking lot, where the parade will end.

Main St. will be closed from 11th St. east to CO 257 from 6:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4 to accommodate the parade. During this time, vehicles parked along the parade route will need to be relocated. Motorists planning to travel in or around the affected areas will need to use alternate routes during the parade window. The parade will begin promptly at 9 a.m. and run until all participants have completed the route. The new route is a major change from years past and is meant to enhance accessibility for spectators. to help increase community involvement and better showcase

Windsor’s historic downtown. As the parade will no longer travel down Walnut St. and 7th St., spectators are encouraged to scout out viewing locations early along the new route.
