Restaurant Lola

722 Lebo Blvd, Bremerton / 360-728-2067

Nationally renowned chef John Hall named his restaurant after his Auntie Lola, a small but mighty woman who was known for her fiery personality. Like its namesake, Restaurant Lola is passionate about community and heritage. Inspired by the food he ate growing up in the South as well as the experience he had cooking with Michelen-starred chefs in New York, Hall uses local ingredients to create a rotating menu of homey but elegant dishes, handcrafted cocktails, and mouthwatering desserts.

Rockaway Bar + Grill

326 NE Camano Dr, Camano Island / 360-926-8920

Have a meal on Rockaway Bar + Grill’s patio on a summer day and you’ll learn why it was voted Camano Island’s best place to eat. Come on Taco Tuesday to sample the Margarita Flight Combo (two shrimp tacos, a basket of chips, and, of course, a flight of margaritas) or any night of the week for a wide selection of burgers, sandwiches and hand-crafted cocktails. No matter when you come, you’ll be delighted by the rustic décor and top-notch service.

 RockawayCamano.com

Often, the best dining experiences happen at places a little off the beaten track. Guidebooks, tourism websites, and online reviews will lead you to the most popular, most familiar, or best advertised spots. But if you’re looking for an authentic taste of a place, go where the locals go. The restaurants included here serve up local fare with a decidedly neighborhood feel. Visit one to feel like a regular while eating like royalty.

Ludi’s

120 Stewart St, Seattle / 206-239-2728

Perhaps best known for the bright purple ube pancakes, Ludi’s is a downtown Seattle diner with a storied history and a welcoming vibe. The father-daughter team of “Tito Greg” Rosas and Rita Rosas Glenister slings classic diner favorites with a nod to Filipino heritage and flavors. On the menu, you’ll find egg and hashbrown standards alongside lumpia and a sweet Filipino sausage called longganisa. For the quintessential Ludi’s experience, order the long-silog breakfast plate: a hearty combination of eggs, garlic fried rice, a vinegar-forward tomato salad, and longganisa.

Ba Sa

101 Winslow Way E, Bainbridge Island / 206-565-3287

Inspired by their parents, who opened Pho T&N in Poulsbo in 2005, Trinh and Thai Nguyen bring Vietnamese flavors and their love of food to downtown Bainbridge Island. Ba Sa is a celebration of local ingredients as well as a fusion of old-world techniques and innovative approaches. From traditional banh mi and noodle dishes to entrees for every vegetarian, meat lover, seafood aficionado, and dessert fiend in your group. Don’t miss the spicy truffle wontons or the short rib stir fry with turmeric noodles.

B3 Breakfast & Burger Bar

4027 196th St SW, Lynnwood / 425-672-3666

Early birds who crave a burger at 9:00 AM and late sleepers who want waffles and omelets well into the afternoon will both find something to like at the B3 Breakfast & Burger Bar in Lynnwood. Want to wash down your pork belly sandwich with a mimosa, or enjoy your chicken and waffles with a beer? B3 has you covered.

Locus Café

4822 Pacific Ave, Ste D, Tacoma / 253-319-8097

Don’t let the word “café” mislead you. The Locus Café serves a lot more than coffee. Sure, you can get a latte here, but why not treat yourself with a Mr. Locus, a Biscoff butter and sweet condensed milk latte with a Biscoff crumble on top? If you’re avoiding caffeine, there are other ways to indulge. Try a handcrafted crepe, waffle, or pancake with your choice of Pistachio Dream, Birthday Cake, Strawberry Cheesecake, Cookies & Cream, Ferrero, or Biscoff Mr. Lotus toppings.

Frontagers Pizza Co.

21 Seabrook Ave, Pacific Beach / 360-276-0297

Like many of the Northwest’s favorite foodie joints, Frontagers Pizza Co. got its start as a food truck. What started as a wood-fired brick oven on a 1939 Chevy Farm truck has evolved into one of Seabrook’s favorite dining locations. Along with their 12-inch pies made with artisan ingredients, Frontagers serves up delicious antipasti, salads, calzones, strombolis, and pasta dishes. Wash it all down with a locally brewed beer or cider on the outdoor patio to cap a perfect beach day.

 FrontagersPizza.com

A’Town Bistro

418 Commercial Ave, Anacortes / 360-899-4001

A’Town Bistro in historic downtown Anacortes takes the idea of farm-to-table very seriously. They source as many of the ingredients in their elegant but approachable dishes as possible from nearby Skagit Valley farms and fishermen. Whether you opt to share small plates of scotch eggs, patatas a la brava, and squid karaage, or go big with the Nerka King Salmon, made-to-order clam chowder, or Duck a l’Orange, you’ll taste the freshness and care in every bite.

TACOMA EXPLORING

Long gone are the days when the main reason to visit Tacoma was to attend a concert or show at the Tacoma Dome. These days, Tacoma’s restaurants, museums, renovated downtown core, and beautiful waterfront provide plenty of motivation to spend time in the city on the Sound.

The iconic Bob’s Java Jive is equal parts dining establishment and roadside attraction, all wrapped up in a giant coffee pot. Now a City of Tacoma-recognized historic landmark, the unique building is a favorite stop for locals and visitors alike. Built in 1927, Bob’s Java Jive is now a thriving bar and restaurant as well as a night life hot spot. Bring out your inner rock star at karaoke every night at 9:00 PM or check the calendar for live music or comedy shows.

 BobsJavaJive.com

Tacoma is a museum lover’s dream destination. With several museums within walking distance of downtown—and each other—it’s easy to explore thousands of years of culture and heritage at the Washington State History museum, marvel at Dale Chihuly’s stunning glass creations at the Museum of Glass, spend an afternoon with classic and vintage cars at LeMay – America’s Car Museum, or enjoy fine art from Tacoma and around the world at the Tacoma Art Museum

SAVOR STAY

Hotel Murano is Tacoma’s premier boutique hotel. Conveniently located near the Convention Center and Tacoma’s museums, the Murano is an ideal home away from home whether you’re exploring downtown, venturing to Mt. Rainier, or hoping to catch glimpses of orcas in Commencement Bay. If staying indoors is more your speed, a massage at the fullservice spa, a cocktail and snack at the swanky bar, and a stroll through the hotel’s private glass art collection provide plenty of opportunities for relaxation and celebration.

 HotelMuranoTacoma.com

After honing their individual chops at places like the iconic Canlis in Seattle and Tacoma’s first James Beard award-winning restaurant, The Table, Trevor Hamilton and Craig Tronset set their sights on opening a Tacoma eatery focused on French food and wine. Today, Corbeau is helping put Tacoma on the culinary map with small plates like the roast sardines, classic steak frites, and large plates featuring scallops with lentils, pork shank with braised chard, or the vegetarianfriendly chickpea shakshuka.

This charming community is just a little more than an hour from Olympia on a highway that meanders scenically through the Black Hills. Enjoy 18 miles of pristine sandy beach and a 2.5-mile paved oceanfront path leading from the quaint marina to the tallest lighthouse in the state. Our market is comprised of Westport, Grayland, North Cove and Tokeland. Why not take a trip to Westport to discover the natural beauty of our coastal community? We look forward to meeting you soon!
