About Us
ZENITH exists to inspire individuals to pursue their dreams and make them come true – against all odds. Since its establishment in 1865, ZENITH became the first watch manufacture in the modern sense of the term, and its watches have accompanied extraordinary figures that dreamt big and strived to achieve the impossible – from Louis Blériotʼs history-making flight across the English Channel to Felix Baumgartnerʼs record-setting stratospheric free-fall jump.

GEORGES FAVRE-JACOT
A man with a singular vision of watchmaking and the courage to bring innovation and modernity to the heart of tradition, George Favre-Jacot gave rise to the first integrated watch manufacture in Switzerland. When he established his brand in 1865, his objective was to create ‘the perfect watchʼ: the finest, most precise and most reliable timepiece ever made.
Caroline Rémy
Caroline Rémy de Guebhard, better known under her pen name Séverine, was a French journalist and activist from the late 19th century who promoted women's emancipation and denounced social injustices.
Charles Vermot
A hero, a rebel and a saviour. Charles Vermot was a humble yet exceptional character, who unknowingly played a pivotal role in ZENITH'S legacy. One of the original watchmakers who worked on the El Primero movement when it was unveiled 50 years ago, Vermot was appalled by the decision the management at the time had taken to cease the production of the El Primero in 1975 as the quartz movement threatened mechanical watchmaking.
MOHANDAS KARAMCHAND GANDHI
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, also known as Mahatma Gandhi, was a leader of non-violence who fought for equal rights, independence and the right to self-determination.
