Ground Transportation at Chicago Midway Airport (MDW) Located approximately 10 miles from Downtown Chicago, Midway Airport (MDW) is Illinois’ second busiest airport. It offers a range of ground transport options which we can detail here.

Public Transport The CTA (Chicago Transit Authority) Trains can take you right into Chicago in around 25 minutes. The station is right at the airport connected via an enclosed walkway. Simply follow the “CTA Trains” or “Trains to City” signs to the Midway Transportation Center. CTA also offers buses servicing nine routes.
