Presentation by Ashley Campbell | Theater I’ll Do the Remembering: A Daughter’s Journey Through Alzheimer’s Ashley Campbell spent three years touring with her father, Glen Campbell, playing banjo and keyboards. She stayed with him on stage and off during his battle with Alzheimer’s as a musician in his band and as a caregiver at home. As the documentary Glen Campbell, I’ll Be Me gained momentum, Ashley found herself stepping more into the role of speaking out for raising awareness of Alzheimer’s and became a part of the fight to find a cure. As a songwriter and performer, herself, she used her music to share her story through her first single, a song she wrote for her father which ended up being used in the documentary and included in the Grammy winning album for the film. Ashley hopes that through sharing her family’s story she can be an inspiration to other families dealing with Alzheimer’s and dementia as well.

I’ll Do the Remembering: A Daughter’s Journey Through Alzheimer’s
This is your NOW: Living with Purpose, Power, and Possibility
Ashley Campbell, the youngest child of Kim Campbell and country music legend Glen Campbell, is an accomplished singer, songwriter and musician. Ashley put her own career and life on hold when her father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Her debut single, “Remembering,” a deeply personal reflection about her father’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis, was featured in the documentary, Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me. The soundtrack for I’ll Be Me, was honored with two Grammy awards. Celebrating the healing power of music, Ashley shares her family’s journey with Alzheimer’s, often integrating music and performance into her honest, raw and moving keynotes. Ashley embraced music and performing at an early age. She went on to major in theater at Pepperdine University, regularly performing improv comedy at the Groundlings and Comedy Sportz theaters in Hollywood. When she was asked to learn the banjo for a role in Pepperdine’s Edinburgh Theater program, music began to take the wheel as both a passion and a career. Shortly after graduation, Ashley joined her father on his Goodbye Tour, playing both banjo and keyboard. “I can’t even put into words how priceless it was for me to be able to perform with my dad,” Ashley said.
