Pen and ink

Year 6 have been reminiscing about their visit to Bambrough castle a few weeks ago during their art lesson today. The children have been looking at tone and texture using pen and ink. There are some amazing outcomes – well done year 6!

Investigating Shadows

In preparation for their learning on day and night, Year 5 have been busy this morning investigating shadows. They looked carefully at the similarities between each of the shadow and were set a challenge by Mrs Evans to make exactly the same shadow 4 hours later. Do you think they could do it?

Y6 meet the artist!

What a wonderful introduction to Ilona Drew. The children asked fantastic questions that allowed them to understand her as an artist as well as more about her artwork. We can’t wait to start our project together! SUMDOG challenge This week Y5 have taken part in their own SUMDOG challenge. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed competing against one another and have loved earning our well deserved coins!
