Coastal area around the world are witnessing dramatic changes as a consequence of regional development associated with tourism and urbanites investment. With the over development homogenized local social and ecological characteristic, the impacts will eventually cause to a degradation of regional identity and economy. However, other than reservation approach, utilizing the regional identity to preserve and enhance the attributes of place through a landscape perspective is largely undressed. As one of the iconic symbols of Australia, Eastern Grey Kangaroo, also a crucial member in local community in Anglesea. This thesis will explore how to use landscape approach to emphasize a local symbolized character as a regional identity while promote economy value.
