Project
Tools to produce were Rhinoceros 8, Museum Board, Bass Wood, and Adobe Illustrator
Based on Kazuo Shinohara’s 1974 Tanikawa House , this reinterpretation seeks to use the formal and spatial qualities generated to define the word “natural” to discuss this design. An urban treehouse nestled in a forest of columns emerged as a solution exploring scarcity of space, urban regrowth, and experiences of nature.

Tools to produce were Rhinoceros 8, Museum Board, Bass Wood, and Adobe Illustrator

Project Produced with Rhinoceros 8
Drawings and observations of how the precedent Tanikawa House sits in the foundation. The connection between the foundation, walls, structural support and openings are studied.

2016-2018
Academic Projects
Drawn objects to scale using Autodesk AutoCAD
Precise, measured drawings produced in AutoCAD were the beginning of orthographic drawing and one of the first steps into the discipline of Architecture.

2018-2025
Chosen due to the uniqueness of the problem being solved. Welding legs is outside the standard duties of a Technician but the customer trusted it would be quality, and this project is still operational as of 2024.
The opportunity to gain experience as a Diesel Technician while in school has imparted valuable ways of observing the world through necessity, experience, and ingenuity. To find the alternative path to success is the mark of a strong Technician.

Paralegal Specialist
2019-2025
Professional Projects
Entering the United States Army in September of 2019, and practicing as a Paralegal until March 2025, it is a role that is steeped in communication. Through drafting documents that communicate unacceptable to a fellow Soldier, having staff meetings to disseminate information between organizations, and between the lawyers and the organizations. Success is determined by correct, concise communication and this is prominent in my design approach to projects after my Serivce.

2017-2025
Personal Projects
Tools to produce were Graphite, Charcoal, and Blending Stumps or Paintbrushes
Sketching became a very prominent way to observe how the things around me are constructed. To draw something as simple looking as a rose started to take on the study of how the softness could be implied by different blending techniques of graphite, and later charcoal.

2014-2015
Academic Projects
Drawn objects to scale using a Mayline, triangles, and mechanical pencils
Analyzing the world as a technical, measured set of relationships was an eye-opening first step into Architecture. The analysis of proportions, standards, and clarity of communication started with learning how to produce Technical Drawings.
