How to Design Loyalty Program That Will Keep Customers Coming Back for More A loyalty design program is a pretty simple thing, right? You collect points with every purchase, and then you can cash them in for rewards. It's just math. But it turns out that there's a lot more to creating a successful loyalty program than meets the eye. Here are five important factors you need to consider when designing your company's next one:

Start with your brand. Before you can start building your loyalty design program, it’s important to take a step back and think about what your brand stands for. Brand identity is the starting point of all great design—it gives you a solid foundation on which to build your loyalty design program. Your brand should have meaning, values, personality and voice; these elements must be reflected in every aspect of your business including how customers interact with you online or offline. Think about how each of these components plays into loyalty design programs: ●

Brand identity: Your company’s logo and name should be consistent across all platforms (including social media sites), as well as in any promotional materials like brochures or advertisements. Brand values: These are the qualities that make up who you are as a company—what makes people want to work for/buy from/become loyal customers of yours? What do they stand for? This is where things like “customer satisfaction” come in handy; if you want them coming back again and again because they love dealing with people who care about them first then this needs to be reflected in your brand values too!

The program is a perk, not a necessity. A loyalty design program is a perk, not a necessity. That means there are no points to be earned and no rewards given out until customers have already paid with cash or credit. The program should be fun and engaging, but you also want it to be easy enough for customers to understand how it works so they can get started without having to read through an instruction manual first. The main way you'll communicate your program is through signage at the point of sale (POS) terminals, which will help remind customers about the thing that makes your business different from every other business out there. If it's complicated for them to figure out or confusing for them when they do figure it out, then all that hard work designing the program could go down the drain!
