Body art might just be the new status symbol, thanks to reality shows such as Ink Master and Tattoo School as well as the celebs, chefs and fashionistas whose ostentatious ink is literally part of their personal brand. Here, we place a few of the key players in this movement on a spectrum of trendiness.

Co-founder, WhyHunger In 1975, talk-radio host Bill Ayres and the late musician Harry Chapin created the NYC-based nonprofit WhyHunger to fight hunger and poverty around the world. Today, the organization provides resources to more than 8,000 community-based programs and runs the National Hunger Hotline (1-866-3HUNGRY), which connects people in need to soup kitchens and other services.
