Originally named as Shipley and Saltaire Golf Club, Shipley Golf Club was founded in 1896. The golf course was originally located at Moorhead in the hills to the north of its current location, which was designed by renowned golf course architect, Dr Alastair Mackenzie in 1921.
Set in a mature wooded valley at Beckford just outside Bingley in West Yorkshire, Shipley is a pleasant golf course with a traditional parkland setting and offers a stern test of the skills and accuracy of even the most accomplished of players.

Over 100 Years of Golfing History
Established in 1907, Llandrindod Golf Club has been welcoming golfers for over 100 years. The golf course was the brainchild of a group of local businessmen who identified land overlooking the Victorian Spa town as the ideal location for an 18hole golf course to serve the visitors that flocked to the town to ‘take the waters’.
Designed by six times Open Champion, Harry Vardon and altered some years later by the legendary golf course architect, James Braid; Llandrindod Wells is a member of the Heart of Wales Golf Breaks group offering affordable golfing holidays in central Wales.
Sculptured from the natural contours of the landscape, the upland links golf course provides a true test for golfers of all abilities combining the natural turf banks, hazards and well-protected true running greens for an enjoyable day’s golf.

An undulating golf course set in 150 acres of land, its tree lined fairways require accuracy from the tee. With three of the four par 3’s being uphill it makes them difficult holes. The fast sloping greens require a gentle touch. The 6579-yard course is one of the finest in the Midlands providing a stern test for golfers of all levels.
The mature course offers a serious challenge from beginner to even the lowest handicapper with accuracy, course management and shot selection being critical to maintain a low score.

Gwynedd is a picturesque county in northwestern Wales, extending from the Irish Sea in the west to the mountains of Snowdonia In the east. Founded in 1905, Porthmadog was designed and created by legendary golf course architect, James Braid. Today, the site offers a beautiful and traditional links course which provides friendly hospitality and an enjoyable but challenging round of golf for all ages and abilities.
The par 72 Porthmadog golf course stretches over 6, 326 yards from the championship tees. The front nine is predominantly set on a heathland layout whilst, the course’s back nine has more of a links style to it. Each loop of nine provides stunning views of the Cardigan Bay coast and the Snowdonia mountain range.
The excellent Porthmadog clubhouse building features a comfortable lounge, well-appointed bars and a spacious locker room. The large modern clubhouse is extremely family-orientated and extends a warm welcome to golfers and nongolfers alike.
The comfortable lounge area is completed with a relaxed atmosphere and a wellstocked bar serving a variety of ales, beers, wines and spirits. Aside from this, the spike bar has sports television and a snooker room.

Staffordshire Has It All
Located in the heart of England and accessible from the whole country, Staffordshire is a fascinating county of outstanding natural beauty. The main attraction of the landlocked county is the award-winning Alton Towers theme park but there are also plenty of accommodation deals and reasonably priced green fees to take advantage of in the local area.

Affectionately known as the Potteries, Stoke-on-Trent is a unique city packed full of culture, creative art, technology and expert craftsmanship. Barlaston Golf Club
Ideal places to base one’s golfing party would be Stafford or Stoke-on-Trent, the two biggest towns in the county. From here, the county’s luxurious fairways can be easily reached and the Staffordshire golfing challenge well and truly accepted.

Situated just outside the village of Barlaston in Staffordshire, Barlaston Golf Club features a beautiful parkland golf course. Bordered in part by the River Trent, the course demands good course management due to its challenging layout.
A“hidden gem”
The course was designed by Peter Allis and built around 1972/3 and became a members club in 1987 progressing to the facility that members and visitors enjoy today.
The excellent clubhouse at Barlaston boasts a comfortable lounge bar and spacious dining room offering views across the course and practice putting green. There is also a patio for al fresco dining in the summer months overlooking the eighteenth green and fairway.

Wilmslow is the only course in Cheshire where Ryder Cup points could be accumulated by European Tours Professional golfers. The course has hosted the Greater Manchester Open and the Martini International which heralded the arrival of some of the great German and Spanish golfers.
In the late 70s and early 80s, no less than six Ryder Cup captains of the future tried to master The Wilmslow golf course. Nine members of the European team who won the Ryder Cup in 1985, played in the Martini International at Wilmslow in 1983, In more recent times, Wilmslow has been selected as a regional qualifying course for The Open.

SEAHOUSES GOLF CLUB
Seahouses Golf Club is a wonderful place to play golf, with fantastic views of the Northumberland coast line and Farne Islands, it is a mixture of pure links and parkland with some of the most outsanding Par 3 holes in the North of England.
In 1976, Seahouses’ original 9-hole layout was extended to the eighteen holes that can be enjoyed today and, since this time, the golf club has hosted many Northumberland Golf County events.
Today, the par 67 golf course measures 5608 yards and although on the short side in this day and age it poses a unique and memorable challenge from the championship white tees with magnificent views of the Northumbrian Coastline.
Seahouses Golf Club were awarded GolfMark accreditation at the end of 2018 – a huge achievement for a club of its size and something that members and the management team can be very proud of.

A regular host of regional, county and national events, South Cliff was the joint hosts of the English Amateur Championships in 2016.
Formed in the early 1900s, distinguished golfers to play the course and pass judgement in its early days include legendary golf course architects, Harry Vardon, James Braid and J H Taylor and 1907 Open Champion, Arnaud Massey.
After a period of neglect and following the end of the First World War, renowned golf course designer, Dr Alastair MacKenzie was commissioned to design and supervise the reconstruction of the South Cliff golf course.
Today, the course falls in to two parts, divided by the main road from Scarborough to Filey. The seaward side of the golf course is at one with the elements and represents a true test of links golf; whilst, the holes of the land-ward side of the course are laid out at the bottom of a rolling valley stretching southwards into the hills and on the slope of the ridge to the east.
The South Cliff clubhouse was later added in 1930 and the Professional Shop in 1937.
