By Ummama Ahmad

ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Ummama Ahmad is an Australian based emerging fashion designer. Drawn towards feminine silhouettes and organic lines, her design approach embodies a balance of softness and strength. Growing up, she once viewed her femininity as a quiet weakness, but through her creative practice, she has reclaimed it as her greatest source of power. In her work, softness becomes strength, and vulnerability transforms into art. Guided by curiosity and intuition, Ummama weaves emotion into form and structure into feeling. Her designs are timeless expressions of womanhood: sensitive yet powerful, intimate yet sculptural, and eternally in bloom.

ROSEATTE
Roseatte draws its essence from the feminine form, couture craftsmanship, and the poetry of nature. At its core, the collection seeks to transform renowned femininity into an expression of true confidence, symbolising the moment a rose opens into full bloom. Its visual language is shaped by the interplay of structure and softness, where sculpted forms and architectural seams meet the delicacy of handcrafted custom roses and petals.
The collection explores the artistry of boning, sculpting, and form building through the richness of satin mikado, a fabric chosen for its ability to hold structure while maintaining an inherent luminosity. Petals, truly created by hand, introduce an element of intimacy and craftsmanship, softening the boldness of each silhouette. Within this harmony of engineering and elegance, each piece of Roseatte unfolds as an emotional narrative of power, celebrating the coexistence of strength and fragility, boldness and grace. Reimaganing the timeless codes of elegance, Roseatte offers a cultivated vision of modern femininity: one that is resilient, poised, and fearlessly powerful.
Consisting of three main looks, Roseatte, Petale, and Vigne; the collection captures the life cycle and symbolism of a rose in bloom. Roseatte stands as the hero piece, embodying the concept of emergence, beauty, and self-assured femininity. From this central idea stem the complementary designs. Petale, a fitted jumpsuit featuring a couture created cage sleeve, displays structure refined into lightness, such as the layered geometry of unfolding petals. Vigne, a mini princess-line dress accompanied by a customhandmade headpiece, embodies the organic nature of growth and the delicate curves of climbing vines. Together, these three looks form a cohesive collection that embodies a blossoming identity, each contributing to the truest form of transformation in a feminine form.
