BACKGROUND Designer Profile Nairie Tzakos is a curious creative with a refined approach to all her designs. From impatiently waiting for the next Vogue to arrive, to endlessly designing anything in her reach, her passions led to obtaining a Bachelor of Design specialising in Creative Direction and Styling from the renowned college, Whitehouse Institute of Design in Sydney, Australia. As a former competitive debater and public speaker, Nairie’s love for communication directed her to refine her skills and complete her Diploma of Communication from the Australian Speech Communication Association in the same year of completing her Higher School Certificate at PLC Sydney in 2019. She has an eye for perfection, and great capabilities in thorough planning to achieve all projects to their highest standard. Nairie’s goals for the future are to be part of the design industry as a fashion editor and stylist for publications and well established labels, as well as travel giving fashion advice.
Body of Work HEIRLOOM is a highly stylised, humorous representation of my design approach. Crafted from my icon’s classic, refined look, to powerful femininity, the editorial marries Audrey Hepburn’s aesthetic with representations of my passions, strengths, and components I simply love. The images have been transformed to emulate the style icon through the colour palette and refined styling approach. There is also a sense of celebrating the colour red, adding to the unusual compositions and concept. HERILOOM serves to ultimately communicate my design motivations and characteristics.
