Amba Pittard-Watt Biography
Amba Pittard-Watt is a Creative Director and Stylist from Melbourne. Born in Greater London, Watt’s sense of experience and travel started young. She moved to Australia in 2007, growing up in Noosa, a small coastal town in Queensland. Watt’s coastal upbringing posed a stark contrast to the years that followed. In 2020, she left the small town where she was raised, enrolling in Whitehouse Institute of Design, based in Melbourne. Watt began to create unique, anomalous compositions with strong narratives. ‘I want depth within my work so viewers can somewhat compose their own perception and opinion on the work, whilst still falling under the same creative umbrella.’ Watt remains in the creative heart of Melbourne, spreading her work throughout the design industry.

Wide-Eyed; the playful child within. A portrayal of the buried childish innocence and spontaneity once so familiar to us all. A moment when the boundaries of reality were blurred by uncontrolled imagination, deep curiosity, and free ingenuity. This editorial will convey a sense of rebellion, somewhere slightly darker and more tumultuous. These peculiarities create intrigue and curiosity which lures the audience in. Opposites come together to achieve the perfect balance between the innocence and rebellion. This portrayal of life filled with untold, crazed imagination will inspire society to recreate the carefree memories that captivated each of us at one time. The playful child which still lives within the matured. The guileless sensibilities will drift throughout with oddity, movement and scribbles, with use of bed sheets. These playful motifs embody the nature of Creative Director, Amba Pittard- Watt and form a sense of undisciplined colour and instinctive textural composition.
