WHITE BEAR LAKE — Excess holiday gifts of body wash and lotion received by area residents are being prepared for a new home — the hands of local survivors of human trafficking. The St. Mary of the Lake human trafficking working group is in the midst of its annual care package drive for survivors of human trafficking. Last year the group delivered over 100 bags to the Tubman Center, The Link, Brittany's Place, Civil Society and the International Institute of Minnesota, all organizations that assist survivors of sex or labor trafficking. “All of these care packages help Minnesota victims, so it stays close to home,” said Tom Breviu, a group member.
