LINO LAKES — A proposed 864-unit residential development that spreads across 372 acres has dominated many of the City Council's work sessions and meetings lately. It was once again a significant topic of

discussion Dec. 10. Watermark is a masterplanned residential community located in the northwest quadrant of I-35E and County Road 14/Main Street. It contains consists of a residential mix of 692 single family lots and 172 townhome units. Back in June 2016, the

original development stage plan was approved for Mattamy Homes, then the developer. In October 2017, the city of Lino Lakes learned that Mattamy Homes was moving out of the Minnesota housing market and Lennar Corp. would be taking over the development. The planned unit

development (PUD) final plan/final plat, master development agreement (MDA) and the development agreement and PUD agreement for the 1st Addition were on the table for action at the Dec. 10 meeting. SEE WATERMARK, PAGE 13

CENTERVILLE — This spring will mark almost three years since Centerville leaders began talking about the possibility that equipment company Ruffridge Johnson could call Centerville home. On Wednesday, Dec. 12, Centerville and Anoka County welcomed the business with open arms at a ribboncutting ceremony at the company’s new location, 2065 Commerce Drive. “It is great to have you here. On behalf of the city of Centerville, we would like to officially welcome you to Centerville. We are very grateful that you chose our city for the new home of Ruffridge Johnson,” Mayor Jeff Paar said. “We also want to thank you for being a good partner and working with us. We look forward to many years of partnership. We really do wish you success.” Anoka County Commissioner Rhonda Sivarajah also welcomed the business. “We are thrilled to have you in Anoka County. We are so grateful that you chose to relocate your business here. I think that you will find that even though Anoka County is the fourth-most populous county in the state, we still have that small-town feel, where everybody seems to know one another and really tries to fi nd a way to work through any barriers that might exist,” she said. “We believe that you will find this to be a great place for
