o you make $28 an hour and live in Squamish? That’s the average dollar per hour required to make a living wage, according to this year’s Living Wage B.C report in conjunction with BC Policy Solutions. It’s the second highest living wage in the province, with Whistler the only community exceeding Squamish to the tune of $29.60. Both require higher earnings than Metro Vancouver, where residents on a weighted average need to earn $27.85 per hour.
