A

fter the Second World War, to build affordable homes quickly for returning veterans and citizens, a catalogue of house designs was created by Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC). The especially popular single-family homes from that time dot the nation to this day. The catalogue by CMHC, saved time and money and so got homes built quickly. Today, a modernized catalogue is available from CMHC, which is a federal Crown corporation.
