lot has happened in the last week regarding the HEARTH temporary housing being contemplated for X̱wún̓eḵw Park. Here’s what we know so far. It looks like some of the key answers many in the public have been asking for will take a bit longer to find out. A spokesperson for BC Housing said Friday that identifying a suitable location for social housing is complex and said it is the responsibility of both the local government and provincial agency. The province, through BC Housing, is working with Squamish “to help people sheltering outdoors to move indoors and stabilize.” The Homeless Encampment Action Response Temporary Housing (HEARTH) program provides
