“Highway 1 Is Back In Action”

The reopening of Highway 1 from Big Sur to San Luis Obispo marks a major milestone for California’s Central Coast After prolonged closures due to storm damage and landslides, the iconic coastal route once again offers uninterrupted travel along some of the state’s most dramatic scenery. The highway is vital not only for tourism, but also for local residents, businesses, and emergency access Drivers can now experience sweeping ocean views, rugged cliffs, and coastal landmarks without lengthy detours inland The reopening is expected to provide a significant boost to the regional economy, especially for hospitality and small businesses that rely on visitor traffic. State and local agencies continue to monitor conditions and remind travelers to drive cautiously through repair zones With Highway 1 open again, the connection between Big Sur and San Luis Obispo is restored, reaffirming the road’s status as one of America’s most scenic drives

Holiday Season Recap!

Over the holiday season, we had a special visitor, Avery’s dad, Charles. We had an amazing time together, trying new restaurants and going on hikes. His visit was especially meaningful because he and Avery hadn’t been able to celebrate their birthdays together in a very long time. This year, we finally got to celebrate them together with a memorable dinner at Casanova in Carmel on Avery’s birthday. One hobby her dad and I share is billiards, so of course, we spent a handful of nights shooting around while he was here. Overall, the holiday season was a huge success and truly one for the books. And one last thing...Avery is now a sourdough baker! -Cody J Wheeler
