Watch the Ball We hear this statement all the time but do you know what it really means? Watching the ball really means “reading” the ball. In order to keep the ball in your optimal hitting strike zone, you must first figure out what the ball is doing. Is it a forehand or backhand, is the incoming ball height high, medium or low? Is it moving fast, medium or slow? Does it have topspin, backspin or no spin? Will the ball land short, medium or deep on my side? All the information on the incoming ball must be made very quickly in order to have time to “MOVE YOUR FEET” to the ball.

Keep OUT of the Middle 5 • The Club Times
Congratulations to Wexford’s Ladies 6.5 team, under captain Lynn Looby, who reached the State Finals in Aiken this past month.
Your strongest OFFENSIVE position in Pickleball is when BOTH you and your partner are positioned at the No-Volley Line. Be ready to volley and try not to let the ball bounce on your side! If the incoming ball is low and slow, be ready to DINK it back!
