MY COLISEUM

WHO WE ARE
The Coliseum is Western Sydney’s home for exceptional live performance and events — a place where artists, audiences and communities come together to experience the power of live storytelling. The theatre was founded with a vision to create more than simply a performance venue. It was designed as a cultural space where people can gather, creativity can flourish, and the transformative impact of the performing arts can be shared with the wider community.
Today, the Coliseum is proud to play a role in Western Sydney’s cultural landscape. From world-class concerts and theatrical productions to conventions, filming and live broadcasts, our stage hosts a diverse range of experiences that celebrate creativity, connection and storytelling. Central to our mission is inspiring the next generation. We are deeply committed to supporting schools and educators by providing meaningful arts experiences that
enrich learning both inside and beyond the classroom. Through education programs, student performances and school partnerships, we aim to spark curiosity, encourage creative thinking and introduce young people to the many possibilities the arts can offer.
We believe live performance has the power to inspire imagination, build confidence and create lasting memories for students. By opening our doors to schools across Western Sydney and beyond, we hope to nurture a lifelong appreciation for theatre, music and storytelling.
The Coliseum Theatre invites you to join us in discovering the educational and emotional impact of the performing arts.

WHO WE WORK WITH
The Coliseum Theatre is proud to partner with Monkey Baa Theatre Company to bring high-quality theatre to local schools. Together, we share the belief that experiencing live performance can have a profound impact on young people — nurturing empathy, sparking creativity and building confidence to explore their emotions.
We know that not all students have equal access to the arts and that diverse Australian stories are increasingly rare. Without these experiences, young people can miss
out on important opportunities to develop emotional literacy and connect with the world around them. Through this partnership, Monkey Baa brings theatre and workshops directly to schools and communities, sharing stories that help students connect with their emotions, build resilience and develop empathy.
By working together, the Coliseum and Monkey Baa are ensuring that more young people can experience the wonder and transformative power of live theatre.

Through our collaboration with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the Coliseum Theatre brings world-class orchestral music directly into Western Sydney schools and communities. This partnership opens up new opportunities for students and teachers to experience the energy, skill and inspiration of live performance.
As Australia’s flagship orchestra, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra performs over 150 concerts annually to audiences exceeding 350,000. By engaging teachers and students with these performances, we aim to spark curiosity, nurture creativity and foster a lifelong love of music.
