I’m thrilled to welcome you into the world of the COLISEUM. We love sharing what makes the Coliseum Theatre special - a celebration of the shows and the people who bring them to life.
Our story began with Richard Errington, CEO of West HQ, whose vision was to build not just a theatre, but a home where artists and audiences could connect.
A place for our communities to gather and experience the transformative power of live performance. The Coliseum has grown into something we’re deeply proud of. It represents more than beautiful spaces and state-of-the art facilities. We love being part of our region’s artistic story, whether we’re presenting world-class performances, running programs for young people, or simply creating spaces where our community can come together.

FIELD OF STARS
The interior atrium of the Coliseum shimmers under the custom-made FIELD OF STARS chandelier – a 241 stranded chandelier featuring thousands of suspended Swarovski crystals in animation which follow the curve of the grand staircase creating a centerpiece of the magnificent foyer.

As one of Sydney’s most inclusive venues we provide accessible seating, lifts, hearing loops and inclusive support to ensure all guests enjoy their experience. Our friendly staff are always on hand to assist with a smile.
West HQ has two multi-storey car parks with FREE accessible parking. Recommended parking is located in the P1 carpark, best accessed from Railway Street, Rooty Hill. There are 14 designated parking spaces located on the ground floor with stair-free access to our main entry foyer, West HQ Box Office, Eat Street dining and bars.
We’ve reimagined the theatre bathroom experience. Forget those endless intermission lines – the Coliseum features state-of-the-art facilities across all levels with over 50 private stalls and six accessible bathrooms / grandparent rooms strategically positioned on each level of the venue. Every visit becomes part of the experience, with stunning architectural details that make even your brief intermission break feel special.

Feel all the emotions that music can inspire in this concert of enchanting classical favourites performed live by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the Coliseum Theatre.
Copland’s ’Appalachian Spring’ and Falla’s ’The ThreeCornered Hat’ pulse with energy and drive, while Ravel’s mesmerising ’Bolero’ builds a thrilling climax that will stick in your head for weeks.
