Workers rally for equality
Allied health workers gathered near Warrnambool Base Hospital on Wednesday afternoon determined to get their message across.
DESPITE Wednesday’s cold and wintry conditions, a large group of vocal allied health workers rallied near the Warrnambool Base Hospital voicing their concerns over pay and workforce conditions. The rally was led by social worker (clinical lead) Kerri-Lee Jones who urged the state government to reach a “fair and reasonable offer.” “Many workers took a huge reduction in pay during COVID and still receive below that of our counterparts in other states; it’s just not good enough nor is it fair.” For the full story turn to page 3.
