WHAT’S THE BUZZ THIS SEASON? WCT’s 23/24 Season leaps off the stage with music, laughter, and thrills. Featuring a dazzling array of iconic musicals, family fun for adults and kids of all ages, razor-sharp classic thrillers re-told for a modern age, hilarious theatrical hijinks, and the return of a couple of Kamloops’ fan-favourites. WCT is theatre you can believe in. We can’t wait to bring you an explosive, joyous, intriguing, and daring season that offers something for everyone in our community. A season for all of us in the Southern Interior—curious, resilient, passionate, fun, and fierce. I’m a believer in theatre that brings us together, whether you’ve been with us for 48 years or you’re coming through our doors for the first time. Last year we were reminded of the sheer joy of being together after too long apart: families experiencing the transformative power of live theatre for the first time; couples of all ages on date nights; gaggles of Pink Ladies in limos; book clubs, sports clubs, and social clubs; everyone from bookkeepers, business owners, and bricklayers to landscapers, lawyers, and local leaders—you all poured through the doors of our theatres with vibrant anticipation and the immeasurable happiness of finally being together.
At Western Canada Theatre we are passionately invested in the role theatre has in the education and enrichment of our community, built on a foundation of equity, diversity, inclusion, and access. The Hub for Creative Learning provides opportunities for teachers, creative artists, theatre lovers, and theatre newcomers of all ages to become actively engaged in these activities through Audience Enrichment, Community Engagement, Creative Development, Educator Resources, and Theatre Classes.

Stage One Theatre School offers Acting, Musical Theatre, and Performance classes year-round for ages 4 to 18, as well as Teen Drama Workshops, Spring Break programs, and Summer Camps. Plus, The Next Stage offers Acting and Play Reading groups for adults.

PIZZA PRE-SHOW Join us and special guests in the Sagebrush lobby for pizza and a dynamic discussion about the production at 6:30pm, before the second Thursday performance (only at the Sagebrush).
