This brochure outlines the exciting range of opportunities available to students in Years 7–9 during Adventure Week in February 2027. The programme is designed to give students genuine choice, with experiences that help develop confdence, independence and lifelong skills.
The trips have been carefully chosen to inspire a wide range of students and interests. For some, this may mean adventure, sport and time outdoors; for others, it may be the opportunity to experience new cultures, explore cuting-edge innovation and discover world-leading cities such as Seoul. We also believe Adventure Week provides a wonderful opportunity for students to strengthen friendships, grow in confdence and develop through shared experiences and new challenges.

1. Sam Roi Yot Multi-activity camp
We are delighted to once again partner with Worldwise Edventures for our Sam Roi Yot Adventure & Service Expedition. Following the success of last year’s trip, students will return to the stunning coastal seting of Sam Roi Yot National Park for a programme that combines outdoor adventure, teamwork and meaningful service learning. We will stay at the Green Beach Resort, ofering comfortable beachfront accommodation.
An important addition to this year’s programme is that students will work with a local Thai school, supporting English learning. They will also contribute to the Food for Thought initiative, helping schools develop sustainable vegetable gardens
Worldwise Edventures are highly experienced in delivering programmes for international schools across Thailand, with strong safeguarding procedures, experienced staf and clear risk management systems. Wellington staf will accompany students throughout the expedition.
Day 1: Arrival & Team Challenges
Beach games, team-building activities and beach clean-up.
Day 2: Service Learning
English teaching and Food for Thought project at a local school.
Day 3: Outdoor Adventure
Hiking and cave exploration followed by Thai cooking.
Day 4: Coastal Exploration
Kayaking, snorkelling and beach activities.
Day 5: Refection & Departure
Group refection and return to Bangkok.

2. Seoul Culture and STEM Trip
The Seoul STEM & Culture Expedition ofers students the opportunity to explore one of Asia’s most dynamic and innovative cities through a programme that combines cuting-edge technology and Korean culture.
Delivered in partnership with The Learning Adventure, students will explore robotics, coding, AI, sustainability, engineering and future technologies through visits to the Hyundai Motor Studio, Samsung Innovation Museum and G-Valley STEM Centre. Alongside this, they will experience both traditional and modern South Korean culture through visits to historic landmarks, K-Pop dance workshops, shopping districts and Lote World Theme Park. We will stay at the ibis Ambassador Seoul Insadong, a centrally located hotel in the heart of Seoul.
The Learning Adventure has extensive experience delivering educational travel programmes for international schools around the world. All transport, accommodation, activities and meals are carefully planned and supervised, with Wellington staf accompanying students at all times.
Day 1: Arrival & Orientation
Arrival procedures, meeting Adventure Leaders, transfer to Seoul, local orientation walking tour and welcome Korean BBQ dinner.
Day 2: STEM & Innovation
Hyundai Motor Studio programme, G-Valley STEM workshops and evening exploration of the Myeong-dong district and markets.
Day 3: Technology & Korean Culture
Visit to the Samsung Innovation Museum, exploration of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress and evening visit to COEX Mall.
Day 4: Modern Korean Culture & Exploration
K-Pop dance workshop, Lote World group challenges and cultural investigation activities exploring modern Seoul.
Day 5: Korean History & Departure
Visit to Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukchon Hanok Village before transfer to the airport for the return fight to Bangkok.

3. Krabi climbing, cave exploration and kayaking
This exciting Krabi Adventure Expedition provides students with the opportunity to challenge themselves, develop new skills and experience the outdoors with Progression, a highly respected outdoor education provider. Following the success of last year’s Chiang Mai climbing expedition, we are delighted to continue our partnership with a company trusted by many leading international schools across Thailand.
Set within the stunning natural landscape of Krabi, students stay at the Rai Preda Resort and will take part in adventurous activities including rock climbing, abseiling, cave exploration, mangrove kayaking and environmental study. The programme is designed to develop resilience, teamwork, communication and leadership while encouraging students to step beyond their comfort zones in a supportive environment.
Student safety underpins every aspect of the Progression experience. All instructors hold internationally recognised qualifcations, including Wilderness Advanced First Aid (WAFA) or Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certifcation, with specialist activities led by highly qualifed climbing and kayaking professionals. Final refections, group wrap-up and return to Bangkok.

4. Tateshina 8 Peaks Ski Trip
We are partnering with the Japan Outdoor Institute (JOI) to ofer students a high-quality ski expedition in Japan. JOI are specialists in outdoor education, their instructors hold recognised international qualifcations in skiing and outdoor leadership with many serving as members of the Japan Mountain Guides Association (JMGA).
The expedition takes place at Tateshina 8 Peaks, an inter-connected mountain resort ideally suited to school groups. With ski-in, ski-out accommodation and a wide range of slopes, students beneft from extensive time on the mountain in a safe and supportive environment.
Students are taught in small groups, with one instructor for every six students, allowing for close support and strong progression. Beginners quickly build confdence, while more experienced skiers are challenged to refne their technique and independence on the slopes.
There is a full evening activities programme, including: sledging, campfres; night hikes and cultural workshops.
Day 1: Arrival & Orientation
Arrival in Japan, transfer to Tateshina 8 Peaks Resort, equipment fting, orientation and welcome activities.
Day 2: Ski Lessons & Campfre Evening
Morning and afernoon ski or snowboard lessons followed by evening campfre activities and group refection.
Day 3: Ski Progression & Quiz Night
Full day of ski lessons focused on technique and confdence-building, followed by an evening team quiz and social activities.
Day 4: Ski Adventure & Night Hike
Morning and afernoon skiing alongside snow games and outdoor adventure activities, ending with an evening night hike.
Day 5: Refection & Departure
Final ski session, resort wrap-up activities and return travel.

5. Bangkok Adventure week
For students who choose to remain in Bangkok for Adventure Week, there will be a full and varied programme of engaging activities designed to develop new skills, build confdence and encourage collaboration. We will retain a number of the most popular options from last year, including robotics, coding, volleyball academy, debating workshops, art projects and cooking classes, all of which help students develop teamwork, communication, creativity and problem-solving skills.
Alongside these activities, students will take part in a range of project-based learning experiences designed by our Heads of Department. These will include robotics and coding challenges, Humanities research projects, Mathematics and Science investigations Students will also have the opportunity to experience introductory sessions in subjects usually ofered from Year 10 onwards, including Business, Economics and Psychology.
