Irises, fields of purple, have taken the place of honor in my garden. I am stunned by how swiftly the lilac, the lilies of the valley, the wisteria have come and gone. It is equally surprising to me that I am sitting here writing a letter for spring 2012 when, minutes ago, our fall, 2011 books went to the printer.In my last catalogue I voted that we all reduce the number of titles we are publishing and publish them better. This we are doing in this catalogue.
