Our
Journey
LIVE WELL, WORK WELL, JOIN THE JOURNEY TO BE BOLD!
Preventive Care Matters Welcome to Our Journey! Live Well. Work Well. Join the Journey to be Bold! The Five AM Club Nobody Asked to Join (But I'd Never Leave) Let's be honest: motherhood is beautiful, chaotic, and relentless in equal measure. I have two boys — a 7-year-old and a 5-year-old who treat the house like a personal obstacle course. Between school drop-offs, snack negotiations, and the never-ending hunt for the other shoe, most days feel less like living and more like surviving. So how do I actually stay sane? Five mornings each workweek, my alarm goes off at 4:15 a.m. Before the sun has a chance to rise, there's no snoozing. I'm up and heading to the same strength and conditioning gym I found 15 years ago. And for one glorious hour, nobody is asking me for anything. I work out hard, throw around some heavy weights, and I finish feeling like a different person than the one who stumbled out of bed. It’s an appointment for myself I refuse to cancel. And here what I've learned: self-care isn't selfish. It's structural. Those early morning hours are the reason I can show up for my family and for my colleagues. When I skip them, everyone feels it. I feel it in my patience, my energy, and my ability to handle the seventh interruption of dinner with something resembling grace. My boys are watching, too. They see a mom who prioritizes her health. Who keeps commitments, even ones made only to herself. I'm not trying to model perfection; I'm trying to model effort and consistency. Is it easy? No. Some mornings the bed wins the argument. Some weeks the whole thing falls apart, and I don't get to the gym at all. That's real life, but I don't spiral … I just get back to it. So, if you're running on fumes, wondering where you fit into your own life: you don't have to overhaul everything. Find your sense of 5 a.m. Find the thing that fills you back up however little or small. Then protect it like your sanity depends on it. Because it does. Phoebe Cachuela General Counsel

September is a time to focus on prevention, self-care, and proactive health, with observances including National Self-Care Awareness Month, Suicide Prevention Month, Back-to-School season, and the start of Hispanic Heritage Month. Preventive care is an important part of overall well-being. Routine screenings, regular checkups, healthy daily habits, and attention to mental and emotional health can help identify concerns early, reduce health risks, and support a better quality of life.
Weight Loss
Taking care of our health also means making space for self-care and recognizing when we—or those around us—may need additional support. Small, intentional choices can make a meaningful difference, from scheduling a recommended screening to building healthier routines, managing stress, or reaching out for help.

This edition of Our Journey highlights preventive screenings, self-care practices, mental health and suicide prevention resources, and proactive steps employees and families can take to support their health and well-being—not only in September, but throughout the year.

Occupational and Intellectual Wellness
Live Well, Work Well, Join the Journey to be BOLD! Preventive Care for Your Whole Life Preventive Care is a Career Strategy The 8 Pillars of Wellness recognize that well-being is more than just physical health—it’s about caring for the whole person. These pillars include Physical, Emotional, Social, Financial, Intellectual, Occupational, Environmental, and Spiritual Wellness. Together, they highlight how our daily habits, relationships, work, finances, mindset, surroundings, and sense of purpose all play a role in how we feel and function. When these areas are nurtured and balanced, employees are better equipped to manage stress, stay engaged, and thrive both at work and in life. This holistic wellness framework has been adopted by Magnit Global, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the overall well-being of its workforce.

Preventive Care for Your Whole Life A little attention today can make a big difference tomorrow.
We are used to hearing about preventive care when it comes to our health, but prevention can be a powerful tool in every part of life. September is a great time to check in, reset and take care of a few things that are easy to put off. Think of it as a whole-life checkup: small actions now that can help prevent bigger problems later. Health Checkup Schedule your annual physical and any overdue preventive screenings. Review prescriptions, vaccinations, dental visits and vision care, too. Not sure where to Start? Click Here to review annual guidance for adults and for children. Work Mid-Year Check-In Revisit the goals you set earlier in the year. What is going well? What needs attention? Identify one professional goal you want to accomplish before year-end. Financial Checkup Log into nudge and take a fresh look at your financial wellbeing. Review your budget, savings goals, debt and retirement contributions. Even one small adjustment can add up over time. Mental Health Check-In Ask yourself: How am I really doing? Pay attention to stress, sleep, energy and your ability to disconnect. Remember the mental health and EAP resources available to you. Relationship Checkup Make time for the people who matter. Schedule the dinner, make the phone call or plan time together instead of waiting for life to slow down. Life Admin Checkup Review beneficiaries, emergency contacts, passwords, important documents and insurance information. These are easy to postpone and incredibly valuable when they are needed. Rest & Recharge Checkup Look at your calendar. Is there actually room for downtime? Protecting time for rest, hobbies and things you enjoy is preventive care, too. Calendar Checkup Take 15 minutes to look ahead through the end of the year. Schedule appointments, PTO and important personal commitments now before the calendar fills up. 6

Preventive care isn't just about health screenings and annual checkups. It's about staying ahead — addressing things before they become problems. The same instinct that makes you schedule the appointment you've been putting off is the one that makes you check in with your team before tension builds, have the conversation before it becomes a conflict, and tend to your own motivation before it runs dry. This month's three picks are for anyone who wants to lead and work more proactively — with others and themselves.
Performance | All employees Ayelet Fishbach on "Getting It Done" Based on motivation scientist Ayelet Fishbach's research, this course explores what actually drives follow-through — and how to develop your inner drive so you can advise and deliver with confidence. Short, science-backed, and practical.
Manager effectiveness | Managers Change Leadership: Checking in with Team Members 1:1 Regular 1:1s are one of the highest-leverage things a manager can do — and one of the first things that gets dropped when things get busy. This course helps managers build the habit and the skill to make check-ins genuinely useful for their people.
Performance | All employees How to Have a Difficult Conversation Avoiding hard conversations doesn't make them go away — it lets them grow. This course gives you a practical framework for initiating the conversations that build trust, resolve tension, and move things forward.

September Heritage Celebrations Two heritage celebrations land back to back this fall, one on each side of the Atlantic. Different histories, same invitation: come learn something, and bring someone with you. United States
Hispanic Heritage Month September 15 - October 15, 2026
Hispanic Heritage Month in the U.S. honors the histories, cultures, and contributions of people with roots in Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. It is a time to recognize and appreciate the rich traditions and lasting impact of Hispanic and Latine communities. Why does it start mid-month? September 15 is the independence anniversary of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Mexico follows on September 16, Chile on September 18, and Belize on September 21. The month was built around the celebrations that were already happening. What is happening at Magnit The Profesionales ERG will be hosting a series of captivating events. "Optometrists play a crucial role in safeguarding patients' vision and overall health. A comprehensive eye exam goes beyond assessing eyesight—it can reveal underlying health conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and more. This makes annual eye exams essential not just for maintaining clear vision but for monitoring overall well-being. Building a strong, ongoing relationship with an eye doctor is one of the most valuable steps a patient can take in prioritizing their long-term health and wellness." — Dr. Rashad Haddad, LensCrafters OD An eye exam and a vision screening are not the same thing A comprehensive eye exam is performed by a licensed optometrist or ophthalmologist with the equipment and training to identify and diagnose potential health problems or diseases. Although eye exams are key to diagnosing vision problems, they can also uncover signs of wider health conditions. A vision screening like you may get at your state’s motor vehicle agency or health fair, or children might get at school, is a simple test for acuity, distance vision and possibly eye coordination. But it can’t diagnose what’s going on and can be unreliable. Most of all, a screening can’t be relied on to detect health issues. We encourage everyone to still get a full diagnostic exam.

You Don’t Have to Wait Until There’s a Crisis to Ask for Help. Most challenges do not begin as crises. They may start with a few sleepless nights, ongoing stress, a difficult family situation or a concern that keeps distracting you during the day. It is easy to think you should handle the problem on your own—or that an Employee Assistance Program is only for emergencies. But you do not need to wait until life feels unmanageable to reach out. The Cigna International EAP, offers confidential support for everyday concerns: stress, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, workplace conflict and other emotional health needs. You do not need a diagnosis or a perfectly formed question before contacting the EAP. You can simply say, “I have been under a lot of stress, and I am not sure what kind of support I need.” Reaching out may be helpful when: Stress is beginning to affect your sleep, concentration or relationships. A difficult week is becoming an ongoing pattern. You are coping with grief, family pressures or workplace changes. You would benefit from a confidential conversation with a neutral professional. The EAP may also help with practical concerns that affect emotional well-being. Depending on your benefits, work-life specialists may assist with childcare or eldercare resources, financial concerns, identity theft, legal questions and other everyday challenges. Online resources and educational webinars may also be available. Using the EAP does not mean committing to long-term treatment. It can simply be one conversation, one resource or one referral that helps you take the next step. Asking for help is not a sign that you cannot cope. It is a way of recognizing that you do not have to manage everything alone. Do not wait for a breaking point. Support is available for the stressful day, the difficult season and the concern that has only just begun. Employees should review their current benefit materials or contact Human Resources for plan-specific services, eligibility and access instructions.
14
EAP Life’s challenges can affect anyone, no matter where they live or work. Through the Cigna International Employee Assistance Program (EAP), employees and their eligible family members have access to confidential support and practical resources designed to help them navigate personal, emotional and workrelated concerns. Whether you are managing stress, facing relationship or family challenges, adjusting to change, balancing work and home responsibilities or simply looking for someone to talk to, the EAP can connect you with professional guidance and helpful tools. Support is designed to be accessible across different countries and cultures, providing employees around the world with a trusted resource when they need it most. Reaching out for support is a positive step toward protecting your emotional well-being, building resilience and creating healthier habits for everyday life. Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the Cigna International EAP provides confidential assistance by phone or online at no cost to employees. The program includes live support, short-term professional counseling, up to six face-to-face sessions with a counselor and referrals to local resources for legal, financial, childcare, eldercare and other work-life needs. Support is available worldwide and in multiple languages for concerns such as stress, anxiety, family relationships, parenting, workplace pressure, grief, substance use and major life changes. The service is provided independently of your employer, and personal information shared with the EAP remains confidential. To access support, visit Cigna.com/IEAP and enter company code magnit, text WhatsApp at +1 984 920 6875, or call +1 984 222 6957.

Caring for the Caregiver Caregiving is an act of compassion, but it can also be physically and emotionally demanding. Whether you are caring for a family member, friend, or loved one, the daily responsibilities can gradually take a toll. When so much attention is focused on another person’s needs, it is easy to overlook your own. Taking care of yourself is not selfish, nor does it mean you are less committed to the person who depends on you. Self-care helps protect your health, preserve your energy, and strengthen your ability to respond to challenges with patience and clarity. Even small choices—getting enough sleep, eating nourishing meals, moving your body, spending time outdoors, or asking someone for help—can make caregiving feel more manageable. It is also important to remember that caregivers need connection and support. You do not have to carry every responsibility alone. Talking with trusted friends, joining a caregiver support group, using available workplace resources, or seeking guidance from a health professional can provide both practical assistance and emotional relief. Self-care does not need to be complicated or time-consuming. It begins with recognizing that your needs matter and choosing a few realistic actions that fit into your life. The Self-Care Reminders flyer to the right offers practical ideas in six important areas: activity, sleep, nutrition, spirit, identity, and support. Use it as a checklist, a conversation starter, or a gentle reminder to care for 16
yourself while you care for others.

Your 90-Day Money Reset Review Your Spending Before the year ends, take time to review your bank and credit card statements to see where your money has been going. Look for recurring subscriptions you no longer use, spending categories that have grown unexpectedly, and expenses that could be reduced. This review is not just about cutting back—it can also help you decide whether your spending reflects your current priorities. Even a few small adjustments can free up money for savings, debt repayment, or other financial goals. Build Your Emergency Savings Unexpected expenses can happen at any time, from car repairs and medical bills to home maintenance or changes in income. Building an emergency fund can help you handle these costs without relying heavily on credit cards or disrupting your regular budget. Start by setting a realistic savings goal and contributing a manageable amount each payday. Consider keeping these funds in a separate savings account so they are easy to access when needed but less tempting to spend on everyday purchases. Even small, consistent contributions can add up over time and provide greater financial security and peace of mind. Check Your Retirement Contributions Year-end is a good time to review how much you have contributed to your retirement accounts and whether you are on track with your longterm goals. Make sure you are contributing enough to receive the full employer match, if one is available, since that is an important part of your compensation. You may also want to increase your contribution rate for the remaining pay periods or adjust it for the coming year. Small increases made consistently can have a meaningful impact over time.
