FATHER AND YOUNG SON KILLED IN HORROR CRASH AT KEMPS CREEK
A FAMILY’S HEARTBREAK T
his Christmas photo taken at a local shopping centre last year should have been the first of many for a young family, but will instead be the only one ever taken. 25-year-old Jaiden Cuthbert and his 15-month-old son Malakai were killed in a horror crash at Kemps Creek on Monday
night, while Jaiden’s partner and Malakai’s mother Tori-Lee Black remains in hospital where she has been treated for critical injuries in recent days. The head-on crash and its fatal result has broken the local community’s heart. It has also sparked a number of online fundraisers to support the family, who are facing the prospect of two funerals and medical expenses.
“Losing them both at once is a pain I can barely put into words,” Jaiden’s brother Robert said. Exactly what happened on Monday night is now the subject of an extensive police investigation. Crash Investigation Unit specialists spent hours at the crash site this week. Full story on » p. 5
