In the world of fashion and design, contrast is everything – and this season’s top diamond jewelry picks are a dazzling representation of the duality between softness and structure. At the heart of it all is shape: round, oval, and emeraldcut diamonds celebrate the interplay between feminine fluidity and architectural form.
A well-cut diamond has a palpable sense of luxury and power, regardless of whether a bride chooses a whisper thin band of pavé stones or a statement-making pair of drop earrings. The silhouette of the stone, with all its curves or edges, adds a remarkable finish to any ensemble when cut to perfection.
Round and oval diamonds evoke a romantic softness – an effortless and classic sense of glamour that many brides resonate with for their wedding day jewelry and engagement rings alike. Oval cut diamonds, in particular, are having a moment, as they tend to be flattering in every setting from floating solitaire pendants to gleaming three-stone engagement rings. Their elongated curves feel elegant and sophisticated, subtly catching the light; and few rings look as immaculate as a single, large oval-cut diamond solitaire engagement ring in a simple platinum setting.
For brides who prefer a bit of edge and structure, there’s the emerald cut. Precise, linear, and objectively chic, this angular diamond silhouette lends a quiet confidence to any piece of jewelry. It’s the stone shape for minimalists and maximalists alike, pairing bold simplicity with subtle air of drama. When crafted with metalwork or flanked by side stones, emeraldcut diamonds channel a sense of vintage sophistication that never feels dated.

The juxtaposition between curves and edges comes to life in this season’s standout diamond jewelry pieces. Mindi Mond captures it beautifully, with diamond and emerald designs that blend old-world glamour with an editorial finish. Her jewelry pieces feel cinematic, with earrings and necklaces that spark curiosity and catch the most discerning eye. Brides may choose to offset their wedding gown with an unexpected pop of color, or pair Mindi Mond’s pieces with a sleek and sexy all-black ensemble for a rehearsal dinner look.
Kwiat, a high jewelry house long revered for its craftsmanship, stands out this season for its array of classic engagement rings. Oval solitaires set in platinum; diamond-encrusted wedding bands; angular cushion cut engagement rings with side stones. These are all pieces that transcend trends, and can easily be customized to suit any bride’s personal style.
For bridal earrings, this season’s standout pair belongs to Graff, whose canary-yellow diamond solitaire earrings pair sparkling white diamonds with the most stunning pop of sunshine. They are classically glamorous without being predictable, and match seamlessly with a variety of wedding dress silhouettes, from curve-skimming bridal gowns to full-skirted princess styles.
While diamonds are intended to be heirloom pieces and passed down for generations, they are anything but static in inspiration and design. Whether the wearer gravitates more toward oval cuts or emerald shapes, designers are interpreting these classic stones in ways that are fluid, transformable, and complementary to anyone’s personal style.

A Luxury Italian Garden Wedding at
LIZ INGLISA & KRAETON MOLL
August 5, 2024. Lake Como, Italy

Matteo Coltro Photography
Photography:
Italian at Villa Balbiano in Lake Como

Liz Inglisa and Kraeton Moll met during their senior year of high school in 2015. It was a simple and unassuming moment – just a quick conversation while walking out of school one day.
“Neither of us could have predicted then how much that small exchange would change our lives,” says Liz. “But from that moment on, we never stopped talking. Our connection was immediate, easy, and magnetic.”
Over the past decade, the couple has grown up together while sharing countless milestones including going to college at the University of Missouri, building their dream house, and adding a dog to the family.
The proposal took place in September of 2022. During a private sunset boat ride in Positano, Kraeton got down on one knee and asked Liz to marry him.
“Afterwards,” Liz shares, “we had dinner at a beautiful restaurant with a view of the coastline and the twinkling lights of Positano. It was truly magical. Ever since that night, we knew Italy was where we wanted to say, ‘I do.’”

A Luxury Italian Garden Wedding at Villa Balbiano Having visited Lake Como in 2017, Liz and Kraeton immediately decided to host a destination wedding in Italy. After falling in love with Villa Balbiano, the couple worked with their planner, Oana, to create a wedding vision inspired by a luxury Italian garden.
“Every detail was carefully thought out and rooted in our personal style,” Liz adds. “We didn’t want a day that just looked beautiful, we wanted a day that felt like us. When it came to designing our ceremony, we knew we wanted to create something that had never been done before. Villa Balbiano already offered a breathtaking natural backdrop, and we wanted our florals and layout to complement and elevate that beauty. Our inspiration came from the famous Italian garden of Giardini Pellegrini, which we tried to replicate in our ceremony design. But we couldn’t have brought that vision to life without our wedding planner, Oana, and our incredible florists, Lake Como Florist. Their ability to bring ideas to life surpassed every expectation.”

The couple’s wedding décor vision carried over into the reception, where they wanted guests to feel like they were “dining inside a blooming floral masterpiece.”
“I always envisioned an explosion of pinks, greens, and whites that would feel ethereal but grounded in nature,” Liz explains, “like you were still sitting in a garden, but one that took your breath away. Lake Como Florist gets all the credit for our chandeliers, which became one of the most talked about design elements of the evening. We wanted something unique, and they created floral chandeliers that looked like blooming flowers suspended above the tables. The tablescape was equally thoughtful, with grapes delicately placed along the florals, bow-tied candles, and circular menus that fit perfectly into each plate – small touches that made a big impact.”

Married in Lake Como
The bride and groom’s Lake Como wedding experience started on a fashion-forward note, as they enjoyed a pre-wedding photo session with a vintage 1957 Porsche 356 Speedster. It was the perfect way to add a touch of old-world glamour to the weekend.
To calm their nerves before the wedding ceremony, the couple decided early on to have a first look as well. Spending that time together and exchanging private vows turned out to be one of their favorite moments of the day.

“It felt so intimate and special to have a few moments together,” Liz describes, “just the two of us, before the next chapter of our life officially began. During the ceremony, our officiant, Fabio, built in a moment of silence. It gave us time to truly be present, to look out at our friends and family and just take it all in. I truly had to fight the tears back. We felt so lucky to be surrounded by all of our friends and family that flew across the sea to be there to celebrate us. One more aspect of our ceremony that we loved was that we put our printed vows in a box with a nice bottle of wine to open up on a milestone anniversary of choice (10 years).”

An Italian Wedding Menu
When choosing their wedding menu, Liz and Kraeton focused on a combination of Italian tradition and interactive moments. During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed a generous spread of food, including a live mozzarella making demonstration which was a hit. Signature cocktails were also served – an espresso martini for her, and a Moscow mule for him.
Dinner consisted of a three-course dining experience, starting with seared scallops with buffalo mozzarella. Next was a rich truffle brown butter pasta, followed by a bacon-wrapped filet. For dessert, the bride and groom turned their cake cutting into a show by participating in the building of their own wedding cake. With the help of the team from Sunlake Catering, they constructed a traditional Italian millefoglie, while also treating guests to a full dessert table. As a late-night snack, the couple surprised everyone with a pizza truck serving fresh, wood-fired pizzas to cap off an incredible Lake Como evening.

“From the very beginning,” says the bride, “I shared the planning process on TikTok. What started as just wanting to document this chapter turned into something so much more. The love and interest from people all over the world truly made the experience feel even more special, and it brought a new kind of excitement to every planning milestone. Looking back, we wouldn’t change a single thing. Our wedding felt like a true reflection of who we are, and it was the best day of our lives!”

The Honeymoon
After the wedding, the newlyweds set off on the most incredible honeymoon, traveling to the Maldives, Qatar, Greece, and Belgium.
“Each destination brought something new, relaxation, culture, exploration, and incredible food,” says Liz. “We felt so present and grateful the entire trip.” > Written by Lauren Malamala

An Artful and with Sculptural
BLAKE LI & JAMES WU
February 26, 2025. Los Angeles, California

Tommy Lu Photography
Photography:
and Modern Fairytale Wedding Blooms

Blake Li and James Wu were college students when they first met nearly a decade ago. During that “season of life filled with uncertainty and possibility,” the two crossed paths at a campus organization meeting. It wasn’t long before casual conversations turned into long walks between classes, late-night study sessions, and quiet moments shared over coffee.
“We became inseparable,” the couple shares, “not because of grand gestures, but because we found a quiet rhythm in each other’s presence that felt like home.”
An Unspoken Agreement
There was no “love at first sight” for Blake and James. Instead, their relationship started with an easy friendship that felt natural from the beginning.
“We connected over shared classes, similar interests, and long conversations that never seemed to run out of topics,” they recall. “There was always something to laugh about or explore in our chats, and being around each other just felt comfortable. That foundation of friendship became the quiet beginning of something much deeper.”
Over the years, the couple experienced graduations, career changes, long-distance phases, and “the everyday growth that comes with life after college.” And throughout it all, their relationship grew from a foundation built on patience, understanding, and genuine friendship.

There was no official proposal; there was an unspoken agreement that their futures would be shared with each other. When they decided to get married, it was simply a choice to formalize what they already knew – “that we were each other’s forever.”
Creating a Modern and Artful Fairytale Wedding Blake and James’ wedding planning process was guided by a desire to honor their love story in a way that was elegant, yet modern. Working closely with their wedding planner, Mandy, the couple pieced together a celebration that was timeless, meaningful, and filled with artistic details.
“From the very beginning,” they explain, “Mandy guided us through every step of the process with care and creativity, ensuring that every single detail was thoughtfully curated and beautifully brought together to create a cohesive, immersive experience. The most important thing to us was for our loved ones to feel fully present in the moment – surrounded by warmth, light, and love.”
When the wedding day arrived, the bride and groom stood in a ceremony space that made them feel as if they’d stepped into a dream. Candlelight surrounded them while, overhead, cas-
cading chandeliers were suspended along with a breathtaking altar framed by sculptural blooms. The dramatic floral backdrop created a modern, artful statement, softened by the warm glow of hundreds of candles lining the aisle.
“The space felt intimate yet grand,” they add, “perfectly capturing the quiet joy we’ve always shared. That joy was magnified in the teary eyes of our parents and the laughter of friends who had watched our love unfold over the years.”
After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed a wedding reception that looked

like a modern fairytale. Round and long tables were draped in soft dove gray linen and adorned with endless rows of white roses placed in clear glass vases of varying heights. Hundreds of flickering candles cast a warm, golden glow that danced across acrylic chairs, creating a dreamy, immersive atmosphere. Towering crystal candleholders added vertical drama, while custom mirrored table numbers and mirrored name plates at each setting offered a personalized touch of glamour. It was romantic, refined, and guests couldn’t stop commenting on the magical ambiance.
One of the couple’s favorite décor details was a custom acrylic seating chart display, which welcomed guests with modern elegance and sculptural beauty. Each clear panel was etched with guest names and table numbers in crisp white script, stacked into a sleek tiered formation. Soft candlelight and sprigs of baby’s breath were woven throughout, adding a romantic glow and airy texture to the statement piece.
Finally, in lieu of extravagant entertainment, the couple wanted to “let the atmosphere speak” via intimate conversations, beautiful toasts, a few happy tears, and a dance floor that slowly filled as the evening unfolded.
“Every moment felt like a soft exhale,” they say. “Our story may not be dramatic or cinematic – but it’s ours. It’s built on shared history, simple joys, and a deep respect for one another. We’ve always believed in the quiet power of a steady kind of love – the kind that doesn’t demand attention, but lasts. Contemporary Indian Blending Love, Tradition, and Celebration

Ashley Outar and Akash Khorran met in December of 2019, just before the world changed. The introduction was made by a mutual friend, and the two started building a connection across thousands of miles.
“What began as a simple Instagram DM quickly blossomed into nightly Facetime calls,” Ashley shares. “Three weeks later, Akash flew to Orlando to meet me in person. I remember being both excited and nervous, unsure of what it would be like to finally meet face to face. What followed was a perfect weekend of brunch, a day at Disney World, and Akash saying, ‘I love you’ on what technically was our very first date! From that moment on, we became inseparable – well, as inseparable as you can be in a long-distance relationship.”
A Shared Love for Adventure
One of the main factors in Ashley and Akash’s growing relationship was their shared love for adventure. Rather than simply texting and calling, the couple chose to meet up in new places, which
eventually became meaningful chapters in their love story.
“Our first trip took us to Valle Guadalupe, Mexico,” Ashley recalls, “the country’s hidden wine region. Walking through the vineyards, sipping wine, and sharing sunsets, we grew even closer with every new destination.”
To kick off 2023, the couple chose to experience the “journey of a lifetime” with a month’s long adventure in Southeast Asia, starting in Vietnam, then heading to Cambodia, Malaysia, and ending in Indonesia. There, against Bali’s stunning landscape, Akash proposed and turned their epic adventure into an unforgettable destination engagement.
Planning with Designer Weddings by Carly Rose
Admittedly, Ashley was overwhelmed by the thought of wedding planning and had no idea where to begin the process.
“In the summer of 2023,” she explains, “we took the leap and booked a venue on our own that we thought was perfect; but it turned out to be any-
thing but. Feeling lost and overwhelmed, I knew I needed help. That’s when my mom, after scrolling through Instagram, stumbled upon Carly from Designer Weddings by Carly Rose. She was instantly captivated by Carly’s stunning work and completely convinced that she was the perfect person to bring our dream wedding to life.”
In terms of their wedding vision, both Ashley and Akash knew they wanted the big day to be rooted in tradition, but with a modern twist – the perfect reflection of who they are. The couple’s families wanted a beautiful, multi-day Indian wedding, but Ashley and Akash also wanted a celebration that felt fresh, exciting, and unique.
“We needed a venue that could honor our cultural heritage while embracing a contemporary vibe,” Ashley explains. “A space that could capture both the rich tradition of our Hindu ceremonies and the modern energy of our celebration. After touring a few places, we knew that The RitzCarlton Orlando was the one. It was the perfect

combination of grandeur and intimacy, with distinct spaces that would let us craft unique atmospheres for each of our events. Design and décor were among the most important aspects of wedding planning for me. I can’t emphasize enough the value of working with a wedding planner and florist who truly listen and understand your vision. From the very beginning, Carly, my wedding planner, and Sarah, my florist, seemed to read my mind. They grasped what I wanted – even beyond what I could put into words or convey through a handful of Pinterest photos.”
Love, Tradition, and Celebration
When their wedding day arrived, the outdoor pergola was transformed with vibrant, rich florals and flowing drapery that allowed the sunset to peek through during the most perfect golden hour wedding ceremony. Each detail came together to create the bride’s dream mandap, which was an exquisite contrast to the sleek, modern, all-white décor scheme the couple chose for their reception. As soon as they walked in, they were greeted by a space bathed in the soft glow of flickering candles, setting the stage for an evening of dancing, laughter, and joy.
“Entertainment was a huge priority for us,” says the bride. “We wanted our wedding to be a true reflection of our West Indian and Caribbean culture. It was an incredible honor to have the legendary chutney singer, Rakesh Yankaran, perform live, made even more special by the fact that the band featured musicians from our own family. Akash even took a turn on the drums, playing on his own wedding day. Dancing to the music that shaped our childhood, surrounded by our closest

family and friends, was an experience we’ll treasure forever – a perfect blend of love, tradition, and celebration.”
The Wedding Food Experience
For the bride and groom, choosing the perfect menu wasn’t just a checklist item during the wedding planning process – it was central to the entire experience.
“Both of us, along with our families, are huge foodies,” Ashley states, “so we knew the menu had to reflect our shared love of delicious food. Enter Chef Jayshree and The Ritz-Carlton Orlando team. Our wedding tasting was nothing short of amazing. The experience was more than just a meal. For the Hindu wedding ceremony, we wanted the food to be as traditional as the ceremony itself. The vegetarian spread Chef Jayshree prepared was incredible. It was, without a doubt, some of the best
Indian food I’ve ever tasted. For our reception, we wanted to create something that felt modern and unexpected, while still bringing in the flavors that we love. We decided to go with a fusion menu, incorporating classic Indian flavors into Westernstyle entrees. The result? A combination that felt fresh, exciting, and perfectly suited to the atmosphere of our celebration. And the highlight? The masala mashed potatoes. To this day, our guests rave about them!”
The newlyweds will be honeymooning during Summer 2025, traveling to Spain and Portugal.
“We can’t wait to road trip the beautiful coastline from Barcelona to Porto,” Ashley shares. “We’re beyond grateful for everything we’ve experienced so far and so excited for adventures yet to come.”

SEA MEETS AT AURORA ANGUILLA CEREMONY
THE LUXURY CARIBBEAN DESTINATION EXPERIENCE

CEREMONY WEDDING

From the moment I arrived at Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club, I knew it was a place where extraordinary celebrations take shape. Greeted with the resort’s signature welcome cocktail and escorted to my beach suite, I experienced firsthand the impeccable hospitality that awaits each wedding guest. Every detail, from the scent of the room to the thoughtfully curated beach bag placed on the bed, signaled that this was no ordinary stay—it was an invitation to something special.
Luxury Accommodations with Anguillan Elegance
My beach suite offered a seamless blend of luxury and comfort. A marble bathroom with a soaking tub, a walk-in closet spacious enough to settle into, and a private terrace overlooking the sea made the suite feel like a personal sanctuary. The linens were soft, the air subtly fragrant, and the indoor-outdoor balance of the space was simply beautiful. These accommodations, along with Aurora’s private multi-bedroom villas and expansive estate homes, create an idyllic home base for wedding parties of any size. Across the resort, Merrywing Beach offers additional suites, villas, and family-friendly spaces. From estate homes with full kitchens to king and double rooms in the Tower, there are accomodations to suit every guest— from extended families to entire wedding parties.
Golf and Celebration Intertwined
Aurora Anguilla is divided into two main areas, linked by its crown jewel: the Greg Norman-designed golf course, recently named the Caribbean’s Golf Resort of the Year (2024). The 18-hole championship course is as challenging as it is scenic, offering breathtaking views and endless opportunities for creative wedding-weekend activities. For a lighter alternative, the Avalon nine-hole short course allows guests to enjoy a round without committing an entire afternoon.
Wedding parties often incorporate golf into their celebration itinerary, whether through a pre-ceremony tee-off, a friendly tournament, or even a symbolic round where each hole represents a chapter in the couple’s love story. It’s a fun and unique way for couples to keep their guests engaged.

Culinary Offerings at Aurora Anguilla
Dining at Aurora is nothing short of exceptional, with six distinct restaurants that elevate every wedding celebration. Many menus feature ingredients grown at the resort’s own hydroponic farm, and each venue offers a unique culinary experience:
• Chef’s Table: Breakfast favorites, dinner offerings, and special event dining in an elegant setting.
• C Level: A beachfront venue perfect for casual meals and the weekly Thursday Lobster BBQ, complete with live music by Omalie 360.
• Tokyo Bay: Acclaimed Japanese cuisine by Executive Chef Joe Richardson, plus sushi-making classes ideal for group activities.
• D Richard’s Steakhouse: Anguilla’s only steakhouse, located beside the 18th hole for a truly elevated course-side meal.
• Breezes, along with the new Italian restaurant, located on Merrywing Beach, round out the culinary options with Italian-inspired fare and beachside favorites.

Whether couples are planning a welcome dinner, rehearsal gathering, or wedding reception, the resort’s culinary team can craft a customized menu to complement every event.
A Resort Designed for Luxury Caribbean Weddings
Aurora Anguilla is uniquely equipped to host weddings ranging from intimate gatherings of 20 to grand celebrations of hundreds. The resort offers multiple venues to match each couple’s vision:
• The Ballroom at Rendezvous Beach: Opening directly onto the outdoor pool, this space is ideal for receptions of varying sizes.
• The Tented Event Pavilion: With removable walls and chandeliers, this flexible space allows for diverse design concepts and layouts.
• The Farm-to-Table Garden: A beautiful setting for rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, or post-wedding brunches.
• Beachfront Ceremony Spaces: Framed by the serene Caribbean Sea and the distant silhouette of St. Maarten, beach weddings here feel cinematic in scope.
At Breezes on Merrywing Beach, additional beachfront and poolside venues offer a breezy, laid-back elegance that naturally encourages guests to gather and celebrate.
Personalized Wedding Experiences
The team at Aurora, led by Event Director Alex Nobert, specializes in crafting weddings that reflect each couple’s unique story. From floral design to entertainment, every element is carefully curated. Couples can choose to work solely with the resort’s planning team or integrate outside vendors, with Aurora’s staff ensuring cohesive execution every step of the way. The customization extends far beyond color palettes and seating charts. Aurora’s team offers immersive planning—from multi-day guest itineraries to symbolic experiences. A beach ceremony inspired by the natural landscape, a golf outing reflecting the couple’s relationship journey, or a culinary theme that honors heritage and culture—every detail is a reflection of the couple’s vision.

World-Class Amenities for Every Guest
Between wedding events, guests can enjoy the resort’s impressive offerings. The Sorana Spa features massages, facials, plunge pools, ice baths, and full pre-wedding packages. A fitness center, waterpark, watersports, and poolside cabanas ensure there’s something for everyone.
The lazy river and swim-up bar offer casual relaxation, while personalized spa treatments and wellness rituals prepare wedding parties for the main event. For guests with children or who are planning extended stays, the resort’s mix of activities, dining, and family-friendly accommodations provides convenience without compromise. Come for a wedding, stay for a vacation.
A Legacy Destination
Aurora Anguilla is a destination that invites couples to begin a lifelong relationship with the island. With anniversary getaways, vow renewals, or family vacations in the future, weddings at Aurora Anguilla turn the island into a beloved part of every couple’s story.
In the words of the planning team, “Aurora Anguilla doesn’t just host weddings—it cultivates relationships.” For couples seeking more than just a venue, this resort offers an entire world of luxury, meaning, and lasting connection.

CONTEMPORARY > lifestyle:
In a world overflowing with stimulation, creating a home that soothes the senses without sacrificing visual impact is a modern luxury. The latest in designer furnishings offers a masterclass in how couples can curate interiors that are serene, sophisticated, and still full of personality. Far from the sterility of minimalism, today’s contemporary spaces embrace calm through intentional design, blending soft lines, rich textures, and artistic accents. Your home should be a sanctuary – one that reflects your shared style, supports your lifestyle, and serves as an oasis in your everyday life. The best way to start is by selecting pieces that are functional, yet offer a high-impact aesthetic that resonates with your collective style.

CONTEMPORARY OASIS

Designed to take center stage in the living room, the Air Soft Free Sofa by Lago is a floating white statement piece that feels like a cloud. Its modular design and soft silhouette is ideal for open-concept living, offering both comfort and versatility. Couples can also pair it with the Happening Chair, also by Lago, for a designer furniture duo that exudes quiet luxury – perfect for those who love to host.
For dining or collaborative spaces, the HOA Table by Lago is a sculptural masterpiece. With its minimalist lines and architectural presence, it anchors the room without overwhelming it. Whether enjoying a quiet breakfast together or an elegant dinner party, this table brings a sense of refinement to everyday rituals.
When designing a calming home together, don’t forget to leave room for a touch of whimsy. The Trunk-Bar by Fornasetti x Poltrona Frau is a

showstopper with universal appeal. Its butterfly motif adds an artistic flourish to any space, bridging the gap between functional design and collectible art – not to mention, striking the perfect balance between craftsmanship and charm.
Textiles and accessories also play a key role in creating a luxury home. Designer throw pillows in neutral colors by Christian Lacroix Maison bring texture and an understated flashiness to a room. Harking back to the days of wearing designer names and labels like a billboard, having one or two accent pillows is a playful way to incorporate a bit of vintage style without being too over-thetop or kitschy. These finishing touches work wonders to make a house feel like a home, transforming sofas and chairs with a plush accent.
Suspended above it all, the smoked Murano glass chandelier from the House of Veronese – in collaboration with Alpaga – is the ultimate crown jewel. This contemporary lighting fixture features a steel frame, sanded scrolls, leaves, and flowers that diffuses light beautifully while serving as a

luxurious focal point. The delicate design also adds movement and elegance without overpowering the space. There are also exquisite variations between the sanded and transparent glass, which adds contrast and depth.
A well-designed home doesn’t have to be loud or overstimulating to make a statement. Instead, the home can become a stylish retreat that reflects the personalities and shared vision of its owners. By mindfully selecting the right pieces, couples can create a luxury home that is both calming and expressive, allowing art and function to harmoniously coexist.
