CONDITIONS OF SALE
1. The highest b idder to the purchaser, subject to the Auctioneers h avi n g a right to refuse the biddi n g of any person Should any dispute arise as to the biddings, the lot in dispute to be immediately put up for sale again at the preceding bidding, or the Auctioneers may declare the purchaser.
2 No person shall advance less at a bid th an a sum to be nominated by the Auctioneer and no bid s h all be re t racted.
3. All lots are sold subject to the right of the seller or his agent to bid or else to impose a reserve.
4 The purchaser to give his name , address and to pay down 10 per cent of the purchase money in part payment thereof. In default of any of which matters the lot or lots purchased may be immediately put up again and resold.
5. All lots are sold as shown and with all faults, imperfections, and errors to description. The Auctioneers act as agents; they have full discretion to refuse any bidding or to withdraw any lot or lots from the sale without in either case giving any reason; ne ither they nor the Vendor are responsible for errors of description or for genuineness or authenticity of any lot or for fault or defect in it , and make no warranty whatever.
6. The lots are at the buyer's risk from the fall of the hammer and are to be taken away at the buyer 's expense, in default of which the Auctioneers will not hold themselves responsible; if the same are lost , stolen , damaged, or otherwise destroyed , but they will be left at the sole risk of the purchaser. If the lots are not cleared or paid for , they may then be sold immediately either publicly or by pr ivate treaty, without any notice being given to the defaulter
7. Upon failure of the purchaser to comply with any of the above conditions the money deposited in part payments shall be forfeited , and the defaulter shall make good any loss arising from the resale , together with the charges and expenses in respect of both sales.
8. No goods are to be removed wh ile selling is in progress. Receipted invoices must be produced prior to delivery of any lot. The Auctioneers reserve the right to request identification in the case of any purchaser not known to the Auctioneer who pays by cheque Charging to credit cards will not be accepted as means of payment.
"No person being the purchaser of any item falling within the provisions of the Antiquities Act 1975 or the Arms Act 1958 shall be entitled to take possession of such item or to demand possession thereof from the Auctioneer unless and until such person produces to the Auctioneer a licence pursuant to the appropriate one of the two Acts referred to above. "

All lots purchased are at the risk of the purchaser from the fall of the hammer. Insurance can be arranged with the Sun Alliance & London Insurance Group on an "All Risks " basis for a premium of 1 %
