WEATHER REPORT Welcome back to all our students. I would like to extend a warm welcome to our Year 7 students who have had a successful first two weeks at Weatherhead, finding their way around the school building, meeting their teachers, using the dining room and joining extra-curricular clubs. Sixth Form students immersed themselves in a Team Building Day before starting lessons last week!
Congratulations to our Gold Duke of Edinburgh cohort who completed their postponed expedition in Snowdonia last week. The group survived wind, rain and minor injuries to complete their expedition, and even celebrated an 18th birthday along the way!. Thank you to staff who gave up their time to support the group. As you can see, our school mascot, Wonda the Wombat, enjoyed her first DofE adventure.

Our popular Careers Fair returns on Tuesday 6 October, giving students the opportunity to speak to employers and educational providers to help to better understand different career and education routes available to them. Communication with parents/carers is key and we use a variety of channels to do this. For non-urgent matters, the best way to contact school is by using the relevant email address for your child’s year group (e.g. year7office@weatherheadhigh.co.uk). Alternatively you can telephone the school switchboard on 0151 631 4400 and select the option that you require). Student Services: 0151 631 4411. You will be able to speak to an administrator who will address your query or pass it through to the relevant member of staff. Attendance Office: 0151 631 4410 (for Years 7 to 11). Student absences should be reported by 8.35am each day. You can also do this via the Edulink App. Sixth Form: 0151 631 4401. You will be able to speak to a member of the Sixth Form team who will address your query or pass it through to the relevant member of staff. This number should also be used for reporting absence and any other general enquiries related to Sixth Form. Please be aware that the car park is for staff use only - please use Breck Road to drop off/collect your child.
