AFTERNOON JUMPS

TUESDAY 24TH FEBRUARY 2026

Welcome to our 24th February race meeting.

We have 6 races today commencing at 2.20pm until 4.50pm.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors today who are The Johnson family and Robert Parkin.

Important points to note today are: Due to our extensive Owners and Trainers refurbishment our Club Room and boxes are closed today so for our Owners and Trainers, we have provided the Nelson Suite for dining plus Premier Room 1 where you will find large televisions, a bar, complimentary tea and coffee and a two course meal plus private betting facilities and you may also use the Club Terrace area plus the Paddock Pavilion should you so wish. For our Annual badge holders, you also have the Paddock Pavilion and The Club Terrace. Should any member of the public wish to dine in the warmth then we do have space available to dine in the Nelson restaurant so please simply pop up should you wish to enquire.

We are pleased to announce the opening of our new public Paddock Bar where you will also find a Tote kiosk and there is also a further Tote kiosk near the turnstiles and Paddock Pavilion.

Please be aware that we no longer accept cash at all our bar and food outlets, only debit or credit cards. Please be assured that turnstiles and betting facilities will continue to accept cash. For those customers who either forget their cards or do not possess a debit card or credit card, we have opened “voucher outlets” where you will be able to exchange your cash for vouchers and should you not spend your vouchers on the day you will be able to exchange them back for cash from the main office before you leave (up to 30 minutes after the last race), or use them on a future meeting. Today the outlet is situated at the Main Office. Public bars and food stands will close today immediately following the final race and the racecourse will close shortly after Please take a look at the racecourse map within your racecard to familiarise yourself with our facilities and in particular the location of our first aid unit where we have 2 qualified staff to look after any slips, trips or bumps you may have and hopefully nothing more serious.

PLEASE NOTE: OUR 2026 FIXTURES ARE NOW OPEN FOR SALE ON OUR WEBSITE AND OUR APP INCLUDING 25TH APRIL FEATURING DENISE VAN OUTEN AND THE 4TH JULY LADIES DAY FEATURING HEATHER SMALL WITH SPECIAL GUESTS GO WEST HAVE A GREAT DAY AND WE HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN FOR OUR NEXT MEETING WHICH TAKES PLACE ON FRIDAY 6TH MARCH.

Official BHA Ratings

The BHA Handicappers allot ratings to horses once they have taken part in a sufficient number of races to enable the Handicappers to make a numerical assessment of each horse’s ability. The principal purpose of the ratings is to determine the weight to be carried by each runner in handicap races, with the Handicappers aiming to provide each participant with an equal chance based on its best recent form under its optimum conditions A horse rated 100, for example, would be set to carry 1lb more than a horse rated 99 (ignoring any penalties or allowances). The ratings published in the racecard for handicap races are the ratings that were used to calculate the weight to be carried by each horse, whilst in non-handicaps races the rating shown is that of each runner at the time that the entries for the race were confirmed. Any subsequently published change to a rating, either up or down, is shown in brackets following the rating.

Our easy guide to getting the most from your racecard. Our new racecard key identifies the main runner and rider elements: You must be 18 or over to place a bet You may be asked to provide proof of your age when placing a bet. If you cannot produce this, your bet will not be accepted.

DECLARED RUNNERS 7

2025: RONNIES REFLECTION 7 11 1 Jack Quinlan 11-2 (Ben Case) 5 ran Sheepskin Cheek Pieces worn first time by No 7. Tongue Strap worn by No 5, 6. Sheepskin Cheek Pieces worn by No 1, 4, 6. Running for the first time since Wind Surgery No 4.

DELGANY DEADLINE shaped as if some way ahead of his basement mark before being picked up by a similarly unexposed type on just his second chase start at Sedgefield 4 weeks ago. This drop back in trip looks a plus on that evidence and he can make a bold bid with further progress in the offing. Just In A Bit appeals as the type to do better yet and he’s next best. Last year’s winner Ronnies Reflection and Nine Nine Nine, who has an excellent record here, complete the shortlist.

It was with great sadness that we lost David in November 2025. For those that didn’t know David he was a great supporter of Leicester Racecourse and had several winners at the course Cloud Creeper and Filbert to name just two.

He will be particularly missed by his racing colleagues Andy (Captain) Kitchener, John Cox and Brian (The Brain) Brookes.

Evacuation Procedures

Leicester Racecourse has significantly enhanced Safety & Security measures this year to ensure your safety, comfort and enjoyment of the day. However, an incident may occur which is beyond our control and it is important that you are aware of how we intend to look after you in the event of an emergency. As part of our Safety management, we have employed professionally trained and experienced stewards and you will see them at various points throughout the racecourse In the event of a situation, which requires partial or full evacuation of the stands or racecourse, announcements will be broadcast and stewards will undertake the responsibility of guiding you to a place of safety; it is essential that you follow their instructions Please take your immediate belongings with you and proceed out of the area quickly and calmly with the guidance of the stewards The evacuation procedures have been carefully planned to lead you to a safe area. Should it be necessary to evacuate the course itself, there will be two main options; firstly to return to your vehicles if safe to do so and leave via the main entrance Secondly, should it not be safe to return to your vehicles, you will be requested to leave via an emergency evacuation gate, where you will receive further instructions It may give you peace of mind if you pre plan and agree a meeting place, just in case you become separated from your party. The above is precautionary only and we trust that the procedures will never be required. However, in the event of an emergency, remember: TAKE YOUR BELONGINGS WITH YOU AND UNDER THE DIRECTIONS OF THE STEWARDS, PROCEED QUICKLY & CALMLY TO THE SAFE AREA.

Health & Safety Notice

The Racecourse would be grateful if racegoers could observe all Health & Safety requirements whilst at Leicester Racecourse We would also be grateful if parents could keep a close eye on their children and prevent them from climbing on the running rails and getting onto the actual racecourse and paddock area. We would also like to remind racegoers that the FIRST AID medical unit is situated on the hard standing by the Sales Office. The designated meeting point for lost children is now in the Safety Control Office

Rules on Betting and Each Way Terms

These Rules on Betting, as amended from time to time, are issued by Tattersalls Committee The Rules on Betting were first issued in 1886 and were last revised on 17 May 2010 and the Place Terms were updated by racecourses with effect from 1 January 2015 following consultation with bookmakers. In accordance with licence conditions issued by the Gambling Commission pursuant to the Gambling Act 2005, licensees must display on their ‘joints’, in an intelligible format, any rules that differ from these Rules on Betting. A further licence condition requires all licensees to have an independent dispute resolution service On application and in accordance with the published procedures (details of which are available at www. tattersallscommittee.co.uk), Tattersalls Committee will hear any betting disputes arising from the application or interpretation of these Rules on Betting or any other betting dispute emanating from on-course transactions Rule 1. In these Rules on Betting, ‘betting’ shall have the meaning defined by section 9 of the Gambling Act 2005. Rule 2. • Fewer than 3 runners—all to win

• 3 or 4 runners - all to win. Where a bookmaker wishes to depart from this default position he may offer place terms for 3 or 4 runners this must be at 1/5 odds a place 1-2.

Any race in which a horse is supplemented does not affect Rule 4(A).

In the event of a race being postponed to another day, ante-post bets placed before the entries have closed will stand and will only be made void if the race is abandoned or made void, if the horse is balloted out or eliminated under the previously mentioned schedule 8 of the BHA’s Rules of Racing or if the venue is changed. Ante-post bets placed after the entries have closed will be void, except when the race is run at a later date at the same venue and entries for the race are not reopened, in which case bets will stand.

(B) Bets other than ante-post bets will be void if the race is abandoned or declared void. Bets will stand if the race is postponed to another day and final declarations stand. If the final declarations do not stand, bets will be void. Bets on a horse declared by the Starter ‘not to have started’ will be void.
