Today’s feature race is the 125 Years of Bruce Farms Scottish Borders National, sponsored by Bruce Farms to celebrate a significant milestone in their corporate history. There is a great programme of racing in prospect with eight races and a field of thirteen declared for the £50,000 feature race, headed by last year’s winner Big River who is bidding for a record breaking ninth career win at Kelso. The oldest runner in the race, Big River will face stiff opposition from yards far and near. We’d like to extend an especially warm welcome to the connections of all the runners on today’s card - your presence, and that of your horses, is greatly appreciated. Advance ticket sales for this meeting have proved extremely popular and we hope that everyone finds a comfortable niche from which to enjoy the day’s events, despite the appropriately wintry weather.
